on the 1.8 patch notes they stated that they were going to do the following to the laser rifle
* Laser Rifle:
- Increased effective range and increased damage at short range, reduced heat cost at ADV and PRO tiers.
- Improved zoom FOV.
and yet they made the heat cost at advanced and prototype worse then before they all have a 21.00 heat per second on all tiers not just basic.
I don't even know why I bother.

Or they messed up the values when releasing the patch, as they did with several other items. The Min Heavy had the wrong shield recharge, the new heavy frames all have the same cpu/pg upon all tiers, suits had the wrong skill requirements, and etc. |

There is also a ghost buff that increases the beam damage between std, adv, proto almost +45% that no one has realised yet.

the damage on the laser rifle is fine and I'm glad they finally increased its damage by tier witch it badly needed bringing it in line somewhat with the others it still has the advantage in catching your targets by surprise and a disadvantage when you have to react.
Still CCP stated that they where going to improve the heat cost of the advanced and prototype versions and they made them worse in 1.8 having the heat cost @ 21.00 per second on all teirs.
I don't even know why I bother.

It's not where it should be, but that shouldn't surprise anyone considering how bugged this update is. IMO, the range/zoom buff alone has put it in a better place already. Now if they can just fix the amarr assault bonus...
