DUST Search - the logi is virtually dead

for me there is no point even bothering with a suit that nets you negative income every time you use it. its just a pointless act.

Which let them fire before they are decloaked. And the other one that lets them stay cloaked without a timer. Once those are fixed and people get more used to cloaks expect to see the number of cloaked scouts plummet again as they stop being super easy mode exploits. And have to actually work for their kills again. Then what's left will be the real scouts who always have been scouts.

I am running LogiBrogis and was constantly getting over 1K WP in most matches yesterday, using suits that cost less than 40K (so I'm making a profit). I don't see what's wrong with logis and it's the only suit I'm good at now, no thanks to all the updates screwing me over. You need to play your roll. Let your teammates bleed while you kiss their booboos. That's another problem with this game. Allowing classes to try to be other classes can really mess up how well a suit can do.

OP as a true logi i understand what you're saying. Even in squads people single out logis. You'll receive 0 sympathy from all these slayer logi haters. They want us to wipe their asses and yet they don't want us to be able to survive. I game over like a boss.

I won't lie, it is rough out there, but i've found plenty of work supporting blue objectives. I would love to be fighting, but my refusal to spec into a light or heavy suit keeps me sidelined from the heavy fighting. It is what it is though, time marches on and what not. I figure i'll get a solid look at Dust through the eyes of a different role, which can only be a good thing. I'm also on the cusp of being able to make tanks cry with my ADS. Still need a good amount of work, but i'm seeing great things in the future, and that has kept me sane through the terror that has been post 1.8. Switzerland is small and neutral. I actually love 1.8 even more as it lets me do a truly specialized role now. My uplinks are super valuable in matches where before they were more of a convenience factor. Always the last person to leave. Always the one cleaning up people's messes.

So in 1.8 I specced into Logistics gk.0, mostly for the four equipment slots. Nowadays, my K/D is suffering, but I'm constantly getting second place with 0/0 kills/deaths and 2000+ WP. I really quite enjoy the logi in 1.8 to be honest. I'm a logi now! :D

To the OP if you don't like dieing from scouts how about trying on a few precision enhancers? If you run mini logi the you have 3 highs at advance to use, or are you still stacking Damage mods? Also try this put a leash on your heavy and walk back to back with him so you can keep an eye on the rear or is this too much for someone like you too handle? If you can't count on your teammates to watch your backside you are going to have to find a way to adapt. Logis are and never was ment to tank (aka absorb damage). All those slots and all anyone wants to do is brick tank. Wait until people figure out how to actually build suits instead of zomg I have sooooo much HP!!!! I have a little over 400 total HP on my mini ADlogi and survive fine! Maybe bc I use the heavy as cover and have regen? You won't catch my ass on the front line unless it's for suppression fire (aka keep an enemy pinned down until the real slayers can handle them). I know dust is about the freedom to customize a suit how you see fit but I am for logis having an armor plate limit say maybe 2. Here is something to think about for a Mini Logi shield regulator, armor repper, a plate, then wtf ever for your last low. Throw on a couple shield extenders maybe even a recharger and you will be impervious to the stray bullets. First and Last time I ever give my loadouts away.

As a min logi I can make money in a match and help us win, but I need to know my place. I should neve be shooting my gun if I could be repping someone. I need to be using other players as a shield and hanging back a bit. But then how do I deal with the shotgun in the back? Well you'll have to fit 2 complex precision enhancers my friend. No way around it. Just stay behind other people and behind walls. Maybe put on a range amp. You'll see all but the cloakiest dampiest scouts coming at you and be able to put two other people between you and them (while repping your meatshields of course) Embrace the logi role my friend....or go to the darkside--I mean spec into scout.

After all how well does that 26 extra HP/s help if you're dead? I'm a logi now! :D
