I mostly if not always fly in 1st person view and sometime it a pain trying to pull up from a nose dive so I was wondering in there is any word or any thought I'm moving them down some so you dint have to point your nose at the ground. |

Seriously first person is god awful unless you are attempting rails or blaster. But even then it's AOV is so small that's it's like trying to fly a whale with a microscope for a periscope.
They need to have the First Person originate from the cockpit which is on the upper lateral of the dropship not the lower, and it needs to offer good wide angle so things don't seem to magically appear to your sides.
It needs a lot of work IMO. |

Yea I think I get most of my kills from splash damage because lining up perfectly is more luck then anything on ground troops not vehicles and turrets. |

I like the first person view as it is now. It's a steady aiming platform for dogfights and strafing runs (and yes, you can strafe, but I only do it for uplinks in dangerous areas). I think adding a vertical motion will be more cumbersome and annoying than it is now.
Honestly, you shouldn't want to attack ground targets with it because it limits your view and forces you to fly slower so you can aim. You should always be moving, orbiting you enemies to make you harder to hit and keeping enough velocity for a quick escape. The easiest way to view targets and threats/ obstacles is third-person view.

dude hush up, first of all no, aiming with a ADS aint perfect, second flying exclusively in first person is just stupid, there are other things to fix, get good or stop flying

I'm not saying make the sight moveable just a little lower like a nudge lower and fixed. I also find myself flying faster and able to maneuver quicker and better in 1st person, maybe because I use 1st person in car racing game which I play a lot. It was just a ideaI had, not going to make me stop flying them just wanted to see what CUP was working on when it comes to Dropships. |

No I'm good, this is general discussion so I'm discussing it. The topic does say Dropship to inform people of what the subject matter is and if its not for you thats cool just don't click it. I respect your opinion and respect others prefrence but is not fare to call someone preference stupid. And I am good. |

We need to be able to pitch the turret in first-person, and removing that stupid border around the view and adding an artificial horizon would be nice as well.

Hella. Dropships are already light air vehicles...
If they have PELICANS or RDV's (Medium Aircraft)
I think only God would know what would happen to the battlefield. Tanks lose superiority on the battlefield; but then we'd need missile launchers to compensate for increased Airspace competition.
You know, portable missile launchers? Swarms are ineffective. Missile launchers should have a bonus against aircraft; and thus can only track on to aircraft.

First person needs a total rework. I've described the ideal in other threads so I won't repeat it here. |
