Ok Ok so i know I've stated this numerous times but after having my attention shifted for quite sometime I feel as if i need to bring it up again. So, first things first, this Update has really cranked up the intensity of these battles!
Pr0phet's Opinion: AWESOME-- battles are more intense, feel slightly more balanced, and dare I say a bit more fun (time will tell)
BUT, These maps are still too big!!
For example, I was in this domination with Alpha on the bridge and the small Mushroom top facility about 200+ meters to the west of it, and i noticed that there were snipers in that direction. So my curious self made the sprint away from the fire fight on the bridge and went into the facility. There were about two snipers hiding out tryna pick off people and for an instant I thought, "well I suppose its ok to have these here so they can have a place to set up and get some headshots"....Yet, soon my opinion changed and I realized how useless it was to even have it there in the first place. seriously, If 95% of the engagements are AT/AROUND the bridge what is the purpose in having that facility there and accessible? With the exception of the snipers its completely unused. So, it shouldn't be there to begin with.
My point: these maps/matches need to be more condensed and focus entirely on the "Hot Zone". The more enclosed things are the more people are forced to fight and that'll make the battles more exciting! Wasted space is unnecessary space and therefore should not be there.
ALSO (another point just popped into my head) there should be a reduction in distance between the MCC/Ground spawns and the objectives in Domination. I dont know the particular map but there is one where IF a team does NOT drop uplinks the Distance between the MCC and Alpha is almost 400+ meters away. Therefore, if one team is completely denied re-entry into the "Hot zone" the match is pretty much over. Sure it's called Domination, but geeze completely denying the opponent a comeback is just cheap and boring. Not fun at all.
I think I ranted enough. sorry if none of this makes sense it's early i'm tired and sick :-( ... I tried |
