True true, to be honest i dont know what to change it too, i kinda like the scrambler pistols +1 ammo per level, i also dont feel that the skill is helping, maybe its a bug like the magsecs skill thing |

Yep I personally would like to see either A. Remove charge between each shot Or B. increase damage to 200/210/220 for STD/ADV/PRO as well as change operations skill to 5% reduction to charge time per level Both of these changes would give it a DPS of ~340 which is much more in line with the other side arms and would still be the second slowest DPS so I think it's fair
Personally I like option B better |

Anyone else think it would be cool if the op skill made the bolt pistol's rounds penetrate through mercs (at reduced damage)? For example, at lvl5 the bolt's pistol round could hit up to 5 mercs with a single flechette. To balance this, the flechette could deal 10% less damage for each merc it has to pass through.
This would certainly make the gun unique.
I would want this in addition to the damage increase though. |

Also most calculations are assuming that you are consistently at the optimal range and if so against other pistols you are appling the most damage with the bolt pistol. Another thing is headshots as far as I know the ion pistol does 165% to shields what does the bolt pistol do because if run into someone with low shields the distance you put yourself between u and your target could put the odds in your favor. |

I think a damage increase would be enough to balance it in a 1v1 scenario. The penetration op skill would be to give the bolt pistol a unique trait. As is, the BP is just a pistol.
The ScP has its headshot bonus The Ion Pistol has its charge ability The Flaylock has explosive rounds that deal splash damage
All of the other pistols have some trait that makes them more than a standard pistol. |

Breach scrambler at basic does 133 damage, 2 off from basic bolt and it has a faster rof |

Breach basic does 128 and has less range basic bolt has 135 and much farther range proto has 148.5 dmg while the advanced breach has 134.4 the bolt is better. Though It really depends on the situation at close range the breach pistol will be better it should shoot faster but suffer at long ranges. Vice versa for the bolt if someone pulled out a bolt and the other a breach and they both stood at the optimal range of the bolt pistol who would win? Its clear to me that the bolt pistol user would win that match up and if they stood at the optimal range of the breach its obvious the breach pistol would win. |

Factor in caldari assualt skills and bolt pistol skills you have a badass sidearm that is good at hipfire from long distances and its fairly accurate down the sights the breach can't compete.
