I used to love being a logi, I was hoping that a patch would get rid of all those fake logis but it looks like all my equipments got nerfed to hell. Its hard to support the team w ****** uplinks , rep tools , and scanners. Its too expensive to fund these equipments especially when theyre not good. Hacked uplinks are just as good as proto links in my opinion. So I dont even bother with uplinks anymore. I just pray there's an amarr logi on our team. The range on the reptool? When was that a problem? Youre already exposed walking the heavies. wthy not shorten the leash? (Sarcasm) if people hid behind walls before, its because we cant rep with one hand and shoot with the other. Then theres the scanner, a nerf second to the flaylock. I was never a scanner fan. Sure it helped when squad visibility was taken away, but it was too strong and easy to exploit. I always played assuming the enemy knew where i was, but now the cloaked scouts have me a little paranoid, cuz they are watching you all the time o.O as a gallente logi, i feel forced to equip the scanner. What a waste of a bonus. The way it works is, you scan the direction you know the enemy is at, just so you can see them on your radar, eventho you already know where they are at. I find myself scanning enemies that i already see, so that my scanner doesnt feel too useless. Logi work is no longer rewarding, too much sp and isk invested on unlocking all the proto equips just to give in and decide to slayer logi. I know other logis will agree, and those who depended on them will notice how much of a difference a good logi used to make on the field. Until then BYOE bring your own ****

People have been telling me that having a compact nano hive on a cal logi is amazing, but that scanners are useless and it is easier to passive scan, because apparently the only viable scanner is the proximity scanner but that is to much of a chore to use for some people...

I repped many good heavies in my days , I remember the names of all the best heavies because they were the ones that die with me instead of just letting me die o7

Now a proto minmitar logi with proto reps, use to be a cal logi. Here is how being a logi changed in 1.8 for me....
Love repping the new heavies...
- Always liked the medic role so Min logi was no brainer for me (love the rep bonus for minmitar logis).
- the Cal heavy is not as good to rep due to shield tanking.
Love the equipment cost bonus...
- lets you run better equipment, but makes your suits more expensive
Tough to be profitable as a logi...
- It's hard to carry all that equipment (especially adv and proto) and to keep in the black.
- Will still play some games in scout and assault BPOs in order to bank some isk.
Diversity is still an option...
- I still equip uplinks and/or nanohives (on most builds). I'm not too worried about having all the bonuses for these as I mostly use them when no other logi on the team is doing it.
When the red river runs, take the dirt road.

IGÇÖve hardly changed my logi fitting since closed beta, proto; Repair Tool, Nanite Injector, Nanohives, Scanner.
I am seeing less logiGÇÖs on field now but IGÇÖm ok with that seeing as theres more room for me to earn those WPGÇÖs. Surprisingly IGÇÖm starting to see people actually run up to me more often now.
Its also nice to repair the new heavies and just look at all their chubby curves.

Indeed sir drink to the fallen and those still yet to die for peace is theirs and death is their keeper...
On a side note being that i have about 6 million sp into heavy weapon skills i will eventually get back into it
