1. they shimmer when moving nd especially sprinting. 2. they creat some sort of disturbance in the space they occupy 3. they will have blue particles around them when moving 4. theyre not 100% hidden, gal logi's can scan them, and cal scouts can passive scan them. 5. true scouts typically dont stand still or camp, unless hiding from enemies
if you other true scouts want to add to the list than go ahead

So what you are saying I should skill into a gal logi or cal scout?
I would rather look bad and win, than look good and lose.

never said anything, just trying to make people aware of what can scan cloaked scouts and how to see them

Do you think that landing a shot on a cloaked scout should deactivate the cloak?

no, you basically just aim in its general direction unless you know exactley where it is. in most cases with me they always know where i am because im running away or im too close

When someone cloaks or decloaks, there's a distinct sound(it's the same sound when you spawn in). If you hear that sound and you see no friendlies nearby, watch out.
And as a general tip(for headphone users), listen to the sounds of the battlefield. Turn dosn that radio in the background and listen to the gunfire, footsteps, equipment being deployed, engine humming and all the other noises. They help a lot in alerting you of danger you otherwise wouldn't have been aware of.

knight guard fury, what do you mean by "true" scout?
A real scout gathers intel and communicates enemy positions; hardly any scout suit user does this in game. So please explain to me what you mean by "true" scout?

Let me make sure I understand so far. The counter to a cloaked merc is:
1. Use a cal scout or gal logi set up.
2. Spray, don't aim, in the direction you see a distortion.
3. Even though the sound is the same for a friendly spawn in or friendly de-cloak, listen for that sound.

You left out the most important point:
- Pay attention and use your eyes, continuously.
I spot cloaked scouts with my eyes all the time, whether they stand still or not. And, being a scout myself, I constantly move around and turn, so it's not like you have to stay still and stare at a suspicious spot for a few seconds to notice them, either. |
