I called in a tank today. The little circle on the ground opened up, and my tank wasn't coming. Then about 15 seconds later, the RDV appears, about 250m in the air. It started to come down, and when it hit 180m, it would hover back to 250m. It went up and down from 180m-250m for about 30 seconds. It wouldn't drop the tank, or lower to the ground. After about 30 seconds, the RDV disappeared, and the little circle on the game vanished. Like the order for the tank just went away.
Everything was quiet.
Thinking I had to call in another tank, I brought up the HAV menu and then SPLAT! Out of nowhere, my tank lands on me. It didn't blow up or receive any damage, which it should have it dropped form the atmosphere. I was flat out speechless. With all the glitches and malfunctions I've been having with my tanks the last two days, that one just left me flabbergasted.
It was to perfect of a scenario for it to be that random. I am thoroughly convinced someone in Iceland was either manning the controls, or programmed that to happen to me.

A teammates dropship was dropped from that high today by the RDV and blew when it hit the ground. Maybe this is the hotfix? |

I've been seeing that happen often too. The RDV thing is cool and all, but until they work it out, it needs to go. Especially since the RDV doesn't show up to pick up recalled vehicles. Vehicles should just materialize on the ground the opposite of how they leave the battle.

It made the battles much more interesting when one would come crashing down during a firefight.
Running a blaster tank in ambush is like bringing Anthrax to a pillow fight.

I witnessed this. I laughed, hard. CCP programmed rails to target only me for like 2months. I believe they are vindictive.

Guys, it's called a Bolas. HAVs, LAVs and Dropships are all RDV. Some kind of "Recreational Drug Vehicle" or whatever the abbreviation means.
