You gotta admit, brick tanking wouldn't be as powerful as it is now if they would just remove the one slot they added...
There needs to be some serious changes to scouts. People don't seem to view scouts as a problem at all, probably because all these former Logi slayers want to be some super sonic cloaked slayer now.
I hate what cloaks do to remove skill required, but if i were to fix something why not make cloaks 2 slots instead of one. Solves the problem as you see it no?
I would just remove cloaks from game, they are terrible for so so many reason. But they are too good not to use.
1. Min Scout: - boost to adv suit PG - release the racial NK, provide a PG reduction skill to NK - sprint while NK is charged only makes sense - prefer 2-3 hi-low slot lay out at advanced, but 3-3 at Proto works.
2. Cal Scout: - seems to be nothing wrong so far, but I would rather see 3-3 slot layout at Proto adds more flexibility to the class, while keeping the 3 enhancer highs available.
3. Amarr Scout - make their bonus equal a complex cardiac, every other class gets a complex but Amarr (there are many complaints about the racial bonus, to solve this i would make cloaks scouts only equipment. Adjust their CPU/PG values to where they are for level 5 scouts and make Amarr bonus a scout bonus. Then give Amarr another bonu, a reasonable one).
4. Gal Scout - seems to be nothing wrong.

There is 0 wrong with a scout brick tanking.
They are either sacrificing stealth, speed, and armor complex mods have high PG costs so they are only fitting on a Proto suit.
The problem is the cloak, scouts got a nice boost with new module slots.. They for sure don't require a crutch like a cloak. It takes away so many of their gameplay mistakes and it ruins the class.
Scouts can be stealth without a cloak, they can excel without a cloak, they can hack and kill foes without a cloak. They can move about the map without a cloak, they can dominate a match without a cloak.
Modules aren't the issue, the cloaks are. There's no reason to have them, except a bunch of bitches who want scouts to be the new slayer class and want to be able to kill any suit 1v1.
Capes need to go, use the two equipment slots and provide scouts with a chance to use scanners, DL, compact hives, RE etc... It will add so much to the class if cloaks were removed and scouts kept their current boosts. There would be no complaints, just balance.
Capes aren't an answer to anything except how to make a new Logi type slayer. |
