Like the other guy said, Core Skills are absolutely crucial to your survival and performance. It's like filling an ugly pitcher with nectar, versus filling a gorgeous-looking one with sewage. They count, and some skills give passive bonuses (I think) that apply universally (if not for dropsuit command).
I'd say go for Minmatar Scout with Nova Knives if you're really looking for something new (assuming you can do with something that can't fire). You might love the speed, no cloaking required. If you must, you can get lvl 1 Combat Rifle, since its nerf has made it pretty much non-OP. |

Though this is not something new to me, I have gone minja many times before, I'm just not that good at scouting. Then make it an Assault. Perhaps some KinCats can make you a speedy beast. |

Ok, Min Assault is your suggestion? What weapons? Mass Driver looks to be interesting, since it's getting a much-needed buff. Then again, you could always go Min Commando and get bonuses for all Min Projectile Weapons. (CR, MD). |

I can confirm that the LAV BPO still works, and the above link is legitimate.
I believe the Templar BPO pack has no expiration date. However, it includes the 3 Templar Dropsuit BPO's and 3 BPO weapons in an inseparable bundle. It can cost from 50-100 USD, on average. |
