Make different types of damage mods.
For example. A Rail rifle damage mod gives 5% damage boost at complex while a swarm launcher damage mod gives 10% damage boost at complex. A sniper rifle damage mod gives 10% damage boost at complex while an assault rifle only gives a 5% damage boost at complex.
Get the idea?

If you still don't get it: It means that we should have different damage mods for different type of weapons not just one universal damage mod. Also, the 10% should be given to the damage mods of weapons that depend on high alpha damage. |

Yes, yes, that'd be great, as long as shotguns benefit from it too. |

Htfu the game has never been more balanced. Only balancing left to fix is AV vs vehicles |

There is a point here... Look to the first day of implementation Posts on this forum.
People getting home from work or school to figure out what they wanted to spec into and then coming to the forums to ask what the FOTM and the best suit in the game is...
And you got 10 different Suit's being claimed as the best by 10 different people.... This has never happened in DUST and should be taken back and looked at with admiration. Not perfect...
But pretty good considering all the variables. |

A) That is way too many damage mods. B) If we go this route, just make them by damage type. C) Probably not gonna happen. D) Wanna make them 'kinda' competitive, lower the CPU/PG cost of them. Why add 5% Damage now when you could put on a Complex Shield Extender?

Make certain DMG mod categories AV for instance because that is desperately needed.

Changing the stacking penalty formula is what CCP has needed to do all along. The penalty needs to be increased to accurately reflect the vast differences between fits and combat in DUST compared to EVE. I know they did it for the sake of convenience originally but it really needs to be looked at. That would go along way towards balancing things out, increase the variety of viable fits, and reduce the spamming of cookie-cutter FOTM fits.
Running a blaster tank in ambush is like bringing Anthrax to a pillow fight.

Hey have fixed damage mods just look at the TTK now its perfect not too slow nor fast. Maybe you should aim for... The person infront of you and not his surroundings. Amazing how people will still blame the same things even after they've been fixed, guess this is a great way to see who the tryhards and FOTM people are lol.

Good luck finding the damage module you want when there are 100 different damage mods to choose from. Also, that hurts Commando's by removing their ability to enhance two weapons with one module.
How about they just make it how they made proficiency?
One set of damage modules increases shield damage by 3%-->5%-->8% One set of damage modules increases armor damage by 3%-->5%-->8%
