The Caldari Logi has been and "always" will be the go to support-slayer.
You can dual tank, equip better hives, a prototype combat rifle, and a cloak. An ability to self repair with your hives while invisible is great! The haze of nanohives also helps conceal you just a tad better. 
Further note: The pyschological warfare of placing down decoy nanohives is most excellent.

Minmatar Logi is to squishy. But that stamina Buff doe. 14 -> 45 regen? Yoink.
Gal Logi is amazing.. And scans are awesome on it.
Amarr Logi... Only seen Shayz so far... And damn his sidearm!!! and my poor noob medic with none :( |

Wasn't that intended? Originally, they had the most CPU for a trade off of 1 less equipment slot and an extra slot. Now it has the lowest CPU for a trade off of 1 extra slot. It was a pain using them.

People still need good reps and ammo. Repair tools, while stronger, leave a squad short a person with the ability to defend themselves.

Ahh but those Heavies and Commandos with a Minmatar Logi with a Sixkin Double Repair tool behind them with that range?
Those two people become as strong as squads of 6... Even though the rep tool performs much like 1.7 did... You can repair tanks through 1-2 people full out DPSing them... With enough Health buffer you can walk into a room of 6 with a heavy with a Minmatar logi on the back and clean everyone out...
Can literally watch all the red dots on the mini map crawl out of any hole they can when a Your supported heavy walks into the room with reps on his back. |
