A squad of well organized Scouts should be able to take over a match, just like any well organized squad can take over a match. For a very long time now no matter how great the squad of Scouts was, they would lose 100% of the time to a well organized squad of any other suit. Now that Scouts have a chance to dominate in their own unique way points to balance existing in DUST.

1.8 gave scouts 2 new excellent options, improved our current options by adding new slots (equipment plus hi or low slot).
1.7 wasn't a hard time for a scout, learn to play the role and you will excel. You're just a moron who thinks scouts should be the new Logi slayer when scouts in 1.7 could already dominate the match with a combination of kills, movement, and taking objectives.
Scouts were given plenty in 1.8 without cloaks. How many times as a scout did you think you escaped a kill and died around the corner, now that won't happen. Scouts don't have a hard time taking down players, and now they can get away, no need for a cloak.
There's no need for a cloak for a scout to excel. There's no reason for cloaks to be in the game period. If you can't play a scout properly then pick another class. If you want to be a slayer, run to the front lines and use your cloak to get a kill then you're not a scout. |

The problem is not eHP built scouts, the problem are cloaks and how they change the need for any skill from the part of a scout. There is no need for positioning, flanking, stalking, they've taken the skill out of the scout class and all you bitches love it.
Scouts get a major boost in 1.8 but cloaks should not have been included. There is no argument i have seen by any of my fellow scouts that shows the class needs a cloak.
1. Hacking - check around you before you hack. Objectives can be taken without a cloak, using a cloak to hack now requires little skill, no need to check surrounding, and lessens a scouts true abilities.
2. Counter to Heavies - again not true, a scout isn't the only counter to a heavy nor should a cloak be the counter. Idiots just think they should be able to take down a 1500 eHP class with a 250 eHP one. Scout can take down heavies without a cloak, it's about positioning and picking the right spot. Now, scouts can just run at them, its disgusting. A scout isn't a counter, teamwork and good gameplay are. Sure a scout has the ability to get around and attack from behind, but a cloak again is not required for this. Scouts aren't slayer logi's. They are a niche role which combines movement and skill to get kills, take objectives and create havoc on outlier enemies.
3. Scouts need it due to their low eHP - so wrong. Amarr and Cal scouts are great light infantry and are currently dominating due to their (as other scouts) ability to stack eHP and hide in the futon lines with a cloak.
Cloaks don't add to the game, they subtract from it. They remove skillful play, they remove skillful positioning, and they are a crutch bad scout use because they think they should have a 6 k/d.
Any scout who feels cloaks are helping them compete they need to get out of the scout class. Your crutch is ruining the game. |

So your saying that since scouts were underpowered for 8 months (they really weren't) that justifies why they should be overpowered now and should stay that way, this logic makes no since to me, I've been running scout ever since I started this game and I have to admit the gal and cal scout are OP. Plus a sqaud of scouts shouldn't dominate a match that's just wrong
Scout got a significant boost in 1.8 - cloaks excluded. They just want scouts to be the new Logi slayer. |
