I believe an easy fix for the tank spamming is very simple.. Raise the cost of them.. Put the cost of the hulls back up to 3mil and raise the cost of the turrets accordingly too. Hell if i can spawn into battle with a tank at less cost than my dropsuits, why would i even need dropsuits anymore. |

That's a great way to make sure only the richest corps and players can afford to run tanks.
Most non MLT tank fits cost anywhere from 250k to 500k.
Are you saying that your normal Dropsuit fittings cost more than that?

My proto siut cost damn near that much, and its no tank.. like i told the other guy, go out and price yourself a tank today, then keep in mind this game is based in ths future so when you factor in inflation...

Hell the **** no.
I like seeing tanks on the battlefield, just that their gun is a bit too effective. Doesn't mean they should cost an arm and a leg, that just means their gun needs to be less effective
That's like increasing the price of the Flaylock because it's overpowered. (Before the nerf)
My intentions is to have a fun game for everyone.
If I seem to be biased, I have good hard data to back it up.

My proto turret gunni costs just under 500k.... show me your proto suit that costs that and i may consider agreeing that our BASIC tank should cost more then that
And you know what... if they gave us a worth while ADV or even Proto tank (Dreams) ..I wouldn't mind paying over 2 mil per tank

I hate tanks (most likely more than you) but 3mil is stupidly overpriced, also this has been discussed before and IIRC conclusion was that either raise the price (slightly) or decrease efficiency (slightly).

I say decrease tank EHP down to Chromosome levels, so plates and extenders actually are useful, and AV can deal with tanks without making AV so powerful that drop ships and LAVs are instakilled.

I'm a tank driver that has advocated this in the past.
Previously, before 1.7, tanks were VERY expensive to run. Back then a LOT of people steered clear of tanks for just this simple reason. Tanks were considerably weaker back then, BUT, they were not all that bad. It took skill and planning to consistently run tanks every match.
With the new changes to tanks, they made them much stronger WHILE reducing the cost. Allowing a lot of people to easily enter into the field with one. Given the TTK among tanks themselves, this makes a lot of sense.
But don't misunderstand, tanks are still very expensive. My best fits, loaded with Pro mods and turrets, costs nearly 500k. When a double damage modded sica can 2 to 3 shot you, this can get very expensive in relation to the estimated cost of their tank, closer to 100k.
If there isn't going to be much separation between MLT tanks and PRO tanks, the costs need to reflect this. Namely the cost to fit a MLT tank needs to more closely match the cost of a SP invested tankers tank.

it should cost more to field a MLT tank... at the moment most people (I am guilty of this as well) will bring in a double dmg mod rail sica for 77K to take on other tanks.
I'm lvl 5 swarm prof 3 and the tank costs the same as my 1.7 build suit. It's just fiscally responsible to bring out the tank since I don't worry in the slightest about any small arms fire and can try and get the tank. I consider it a success even when we both die since I know their maddy/gunny fit was significantly more than my tank.
Tanking would be better served if the cost to bring in the lowest tier of tank cost around 150K. It's ridiculous that a lvl 2 LAV costs 49K for the hull and for 10K more I could have an HAV. |

Cheap were 500K for a solid fit, garbage was 200K. Top-fits were 800K-1.4M. Anyone nuts enough to run Enforcers could drive that up by another million.
