However, they can kill far too easily for their health. This is the issue. We need them to be hard to kill, that's their job is to be able to stick around. But they need to have problems killing fast suits like scouts.
Nerf their turn speed. Their tracking should mean that getting in close means you can hurt the heavy while he tries to turn around. This means a heavy can devastate you at range, but is in trouble if you get in close.
Best PVE idea I've seen.

Get rid of the 'sloth' effect -- that slowdown that occurs when you get hit by bullets. Then scouts have a better chance of getting away.
Not that I really want them to get away, but I'd prefer this to what you are suggesting.

Weapons have different turning speeds. So if the Heavy is using an HMG, he is already turning slower then you.
Armor plates effect turn speed, run speed and strafing. So if they have armor plates, they are turning even slower then you.
Youre suggesting the best course of action for a suit designed to excel in CQC, I.E. point defense, is to make CQC the Heavies weakness?
Look, Get 30 meters away from us (or 40 if they are using an Assault for some stupid reason) or get behind us and pop a few execution shots, or pick a better target for you to shotgun or NK or whatever weapon you are using incorrectly. |

Okay, no, I've had enough of this crap. Get your skinny behind into a heavy and see how you feel about this issue. I'm so done with these morons telling CCP that heavies need a nerf. For every 1 person squawking that nonsense, 9 others say nay. Instead of complaining, maybe you could... let's see... I don't know... try to actually get better and find ways of countering heavies? It's like you can get better at this game or something.

They need something. I.e. I run in the city with a zero sp militia minmatar scout and a zero sp militia shotgun and when ever I see a heavy its just : poor bastard then I kill them then they come back with two or more heavies and I kill them with remotes.
The only thing that worries me is other scouts. Heavies are lol free kills, get the free kills when we are running scouts. Sorry heavy but you have to die.

Turn speed nerf? Why? You can literally circle a heavy and beat it to death while using a scout suit. If you stay in its blind spot, you'll always out-strafe its turn speed since, you know, heavies have this really, really bad habit of stacking plates which slows their turning even more.

That's just wrong. The heavy up close is not a clumsy idiot. Why a heavy, that's primarily a defensive dropsuit, should be better at devastating you at range but shouldn't be able shoot a cockroach crawling up the wall 8 meters from him?

Back in my day..they were the bane of our existence. Oh the poor scouts, i saw jerrys legs blown off by one of those fatties and then crushed when he was just walking by... LOLlolololololo hahahahahaha roflmfao hehehahahahaha ok ok I think I'm good hahahahahaha. Oh you are serious....the HMG is a CQC gun hence the spread. You have a hard time hitting enemiers at range but chew through in CQC. Killing fast suits like scouts? They do if the scout is good and can get behind the heavy and fire a few shotty rounds into the back of the head. You do realize what you propose was the biggest problem with heavies in the first place. Me thinks you need to play a different FPS and stay off the forums. Hey let's break heavies again bc I'm a noob and don't know wtf I'm talking about. |
