I have dropped a LARGE number of uplinks and I have counted and tracked as closely as I can and I am not seeing the 15% bonus (I am only skilled to 3) for uplinks. The whole reason I skilled into Amarr Logi is b/c of this bonus (and the side arm and extra EHP lol). |

Confirmed.
I tested to see if the bonus was applied with the Amarr Logistics Dropsuits at Basic/Advance/Prototype levels but the bonus did not carried applied during the "bleeding out" time and after dying.
It was tested using bpo militia, basic and prototype uplinks.

Also, if you get killed or switch suits, links go back to default times.
Real AV doesn't stop until all the tanks are dead.

This is bad, if I am dropping uplinks as an Amarr logi, and then need to use them it looks like I don't get my spawn in time bonus. I'm certainly not seeing the time bonus on the overhead map. |

I'm bumping this to find out if this is a bug or its intended function. I would like to know and I'm sure others would as well. |

I wonder if there is an interaction with the bug where skills don't apply for a few minutes after spawning or changing suits? |

The links, when someone spawns on them check for the attributes mSpawnTimeMultiplier and mSpawnBudget on your suit. If you're dead or in a different suit where your skill bonus doesn't apply than you'll loose your bonus.
Working as intended

This isn't official. I believe something a bit more official is due. If it is a bug then it's nice to know it will change. If it is intended then it is nice to know that A-Logi is worthless because Logi's are supposed to die a reasonable amount of time. It, fundamentally, has a useless bonus to the suit. |

Definitely a bug. It has also been confirmed elsewhere(don't have the link) that equipment bonuses are based on the suit that dropped them, not the current suit(if it has changed). |

It's a known bug.. Probably related to the HP thing that everyone notices. The skill bonuses are not properly applying when you spawn but rather take some time to check in.
.... They will fix it... Sometime.... |

That isn't what I am referring to. I am reffering to the fact that if the bonus does get applied but I die the bonus is then no longer applying. if the base uplink spawn time is 15 seconds and with my bonus it would be 13 seconds. When I die it goes back to 15 seconds. It only lasts as long as you haven't changed fits at a supply depot or died. |

It goes back to what it should be once your passive skills are working again. When you die they stop working. I'm not sure what happens when changing suits but if your passive skills aren't applying then it's likely the same bug. |

However that still doesn't explain why everything is showing at 3 second spawn times otherwise. (Everyone isn't using proto uplinks.) |

That happened last build as well(although I'm not sure why). You will notice that CRUs are also at 3 seconds when this happens.
I don't think it's related to the current skill bug. |

The bonus for the amarr logi is not worth skilling into it goes away upon death or switching suits and the suit has the worst PG of all logi suits it is only good for AV hives and swarms I hate that I skilled into it I wish I knew that the bonus for the links is only while your in a amarr suit.... alive

You know I bumped this and I believe the thread went long enough to warrant a CCP response on whether it was intended or a bug. I've finally come to terms that it is just what they wanted.
That being said, I have come up with a couple of strategies that is relatively effective at staying alive for the uplinks.
Strat 1) Snipe strategy. I call in a LAV or Dropship. I drop my uplinks where they are needed and then I get back in and go snipe.
Strat 2) I run a Brick Tanked logi on a heavy and the goal is to last as long as I can until my uplinks are gone then come in as something else or continue to logi
Strat 3) Slayer-Log, 1x complex shields, 2x Damage mods, 2x enhanced armor plates, 1x complex dampener (to get out of basic vehicle scans an passives of most other mediums and heavies), 1x complex reactive plate or complex armor rep. I use this when I have to protect an a null that was just taken but does not have enough re-enforcements. Drop uplinks enroute and on the null while it is being hacked. Protect my 3s to 6s uplinks until the heavies can spawn in.
Strat 4) This is experimental. come in with just uplinks, get in my ADS, go places, drop uplinks, and then ADS and stay alive.
Other than that, it is just the nature of the situation. I personally think that the bonus speed should only apply to a total of 20 spawns and there should be no bonus to the number of people that can spawn in. That way, even if people come in as an amarr logi and spam 9 links or whatever and change suits the bonus still has enough of a limiter that it isn't to exploitive.

I was about yo create this thread when I saw it was already there^^ I hope CCP will change this issue because staying alive all game long when you are in the battle with heavies to rep is pretty rare! IMO this is not working as intended AT ALL. I didn't skilled into a lvl 5 Amarr logi in order to have my bonus worthless and bugged.
The only thing they have to do is to apply the bonus reffering to the suit wich has plented the uplinks. So even if the suit dies or be change in a supply depot the bonus will still be apply on the uplinks. This way it will work as intended (and as everybody thought it would work...) |
