Dust Project 514 wrote:Scrambler Pistols got heavily nerfed. Their rate of fire got reduced by about 25%. They are useless in all situations now. Give them a try. You will regret.
As someone who are used them for a large part of a year, I cannot see why they did this. They were NEVER a problem. They actually were overpovered. Before 1.8, they had a nice RoF and a 533 dps at standard which is 65.5 dps more than the prototype AR. Now they have a lower 25% lower RoF and a dps of 381, which is 6 dps higher than the standard AR's 375, which is ok. Also the scrambler pistol still has a highest dps of all the sidearms so its ok (Magsec DPS is 355.6).
I tried it out on my alt that has scrambler pistol operation lv5, and its still very useful at standard and the assault scrambler pistol is still amazing (without counting the high headshot multiplier). |

The assault rile got its pg/cpu doubled, don't know if it was on purpose That's a bug that happens on assaults sometimes, the base PG/CPU stats are the same as what it was in 1.7. |

Being able to trigger an RE while bleeding out was a bug.

Fibo Gjenn wrote:Regis Blackbird wrote:Fibo Gjenn wrote:The chevron is fore cloaked clones, that your scanner, passive or active, picks up. Not sure about this... Perhaps clones which have the scanner in the equipment? I defiantly saw (I.e not cloaked) mercs running around with the chevron over their heads. When u look at the mini map, everybody has one over the head.
While it's true that everybody has at least one chevron one's heads, Regis Blackbird was talking about the chevrons that show up on the mini-map. After some tests, I think it shows a chevron when you are passively scanning someone either by line of sight or by active scanner when their scan profile is lower than you're scan than your precision. This would explain why it shows a chevron usually on scouts, when someone cloaks, and when someone changes elevation and are not in your line of sight. |

I checked the stats and here are the RoF changes for the scrambler pistol: [sta] - old/new RpM scrambler pistol: 400/285.7 - 28.6% less RoF Assault scrambler pistol: 422.5/301.5 - 28.6% less RoF Breach scrambler pistol: 133.3 - Same RoF [adv] AUR HK-2 Scrambler Pistol: 400/285.7 - 28.7% instead of 35.7% less RoF KLO-1 Scrambler pistol: 444.4/ 285.71 - 35.7% less RoF IA5 Tactical Scrambler Pistol: 468.7/301.5 - 35.7% less RoF CAR-9 Burst Scrambler Pistol: 740.7/476.2 - 35.7% less RoF TY-5 Breach Scrambler Pistol: 133.3 - Same RoF [pro] Viziam Scrambler Pistol: 500/285.7 42.8% less RoF Carthum Assault Scrambler Pistol: 526.3/301.5 42.8% less RoF Imperial Breach Scrambler Pistol: 133.3 - Same RoF Imperial Burst Scrambler Pistol: 833.3/476.19 42.8% less RoF
The reason why higher tiers got nerfed harder was because scrambler pistols used to get higher RoF at higher tiers; now they they have the same RoF between tiers. |
