I think there is, not that it really matters since you can just switch to your shotgun and start firing before the other guy can react to the de-cloaking sound

The sound is kind of a dull electric sound, you'll know it when you hear it. If you stay in a group the sound will save one of you but the first merc is going to go down or be in deep armor before you can react. I don't use the cloak and don't plan on it and I think it is just about perfect, I would remove the time limit but I think the cloak should be hardcore, if you can get deep in enemy ranks without being seen then you deserve to stay cloaked as long as you want. Good scouts are good.

In my testing I found that Himiko didn't know I was humping her tank, tho she killed me when I was right about to blast one of team mates. nothing but kill joy that one... Second I found that the kin+Shotty just found its fuel. Those that were already on that path, awesome to you brothers. You've got your mojo back. but prepare for the backlash that I'm sure gonna happen. The likes of beta, bros. The likes of beta. My role has always been the ghost that haunts objectives. RE+Cloak+shotty= On side note: coming from other FPS (BF4 and KZ) And jumping back into this game after a few months, The feeling of this game feels weird. maybe it's rust in playing dust. (HA!) But it felt like some free to play FPS game that would be on the psn. .............oh.

Aware of the cloak role are you? It's for scouts not light frames... SCOUTS! Not logis not commandos SCOUTS! You need PRO scout to run it well and you can fit that a shotty sidearm modules and a scanner, no problem... Plus I think personally if you play smart cloaks are balanced, it's all these CoD noobs who come in here and expect to be badass in a cloak then suck and can't fit anything. then get killed by a scout who was watching point... Was mostly focused on information with pistols and new armour. Although I was a bit misinformed about cloaking from squad. I was led by false information for cloaking which I why I had an outburst.

I think the adv is enough, it requires less cpu and pg and has the same recharge speed. You need the proto only if you think you ll need to be cloaked without decloaking for a lot of time.

If they are OP then it is because a LOT of people are using them and the amount on field are tough to deal with but not impossible. I killed more than one cloaked scout no prob and I died to a good bit also. Good killers don't need them because that are skilled enough not to. I never felt cheated like I did in 1.7 with the RR/CR.
