Hey all, For those of you who are interested, i have whipped up a revised edition of the one i did for Uprising, as personally i felt that this gives an easier perspective for comparrison compared with the one CCP provided us with on their Dev Blogs.
So here's the spreadsheet, and hope it helps you make the decision which logi faction you'll end up skilling down.
Logistics 1.8 Suit Comparrison

Spreadsheet not publicly viewable without requesting access. You probably don't want to be spammed with requests. Also, you need a google account to request it heh. |

Hmm...min logi is the marathon runner of the group, but also with the lowest hp and biased toward armor (which counteracts the running bonus). My suit builds are probably going to look a lot different with the longer TTK. Maybe just a reactive and a basic or ferroscale plate, with biotics and maybe a regulator in the lows. |

just done coparison about sprint/stamina. with 2 complex green and red bottles the minny does 9.18ms with about 720 stamina. gallanete with 2 green and 3 red does 9.25ms with 540 stamina.
from experience the gal will get you to majority of objectives in one sprint bar so its a tough call between the two. minny would be best skirmish hacker. you could hit enemies home point on one bar pretty much whereas gallente is domi hacker

If you go that biotic heavy though you'd be extremely squishy. I think you'd probably want to limit yourself to two modules to still be able to take a hit. |

What bothers me the most is that, although the prototype suits seem to be getting towards being balanced somewhat.. it's the tier 1 / basic suits which are fubared...
The gallente suit had always had a module slot deficit compared to the others, it seems now that the caldari suffer the same. I don't believe the armour rep rate increase of the gal suit at the basic level is enough to justify having 2 slots less than the minmatar suit., and even the amarr suit has 1 slot more but also gets an extra sidearm..
I think they really need to ensure the suits are balanced better on the lower tiers too.
Personally i see the cheapest 'effective' suit of gallente logistics being the advanced suit.. whereas the minmitar and amarr suits are effective at their basic level. So i think the balance is quite skewed at the basic level. |

not to mention the advanced deficiency..
Amarr get a 1 slot bonus over both caldari and gallente AND an additional weapon... Compared with the standard and proto difference.. this boosts them ahead at the advanced stage too.
So as for the 'balancing' which took place.. i'm simply going to comment with a... *Sigh*... |

This spreadsheet is really helpful man. I started playing using only Gallente and I think it was just a happy accident that it worked out for me. This is the first time I've really had to think about which race I need to go with, and I'd appreciate some comments if anybody cares to read
The weapons and equipment I can figure out easy enough, but it's the choice of race I'm concerned about. I used to play a mix of slayer and logi, so I'm trying to get as close back to that as possible, with the focus on survivability more than anything else.
To me, the Advanced Amarr now looks better to me than the Advanced Gallente, as it has 30 more armour, an extra high slot (for another shield extender), as well as a sidearm. Sure it doesn't have the 2% armour rep rate, but I usually run two plates and a repper so it doesn't make too much difference.
Am I missing the plot for thinking that the slayer/logi is still viable, or would it work in a diminished capacity, and if so, which fitting do you think I should go with?
