...because of the number of people that intend to run a Sentinel suit with a light weapon.
Please, PLEASE only allow Sentinels and generic Heavy frames to use Heavy weapons and a sidearm, CCP.
Otherwise I want a Minja rocking HMG + NK. |

Nerf the rotation speed and you'll seem more HMG heavies, and less Light Weapon heavies. They can always run Commando... That's no excuse.
This pretty much echoes my thoughts. Sentinels offer significantly less utility than Commandos, considering they have no equipment slots and Commandos are capable of carrying two light weapons. The only people I personally know that routinely run a Sentinel or a generic heavy frame equipped with a light weapon are k/d padders or, in the truest definition of the term, scrubs. |

That doesn't really strike me as an appropriate analogy.
Generic heavy suits and Sentinels were designed with the specific intention of wielding "heavy weapons" that other dropsuit variants couldn't handle. The devs foresaw the likelihood of someone wishing to use light weapons but still be in a behemoth of a dropsuit, and hence Commando suits were born.
With that in mind I don't see how it's at all possible to use your analogy of scouts and SG/NK's. |
