Well sorry my assault suit has a heat sink built into it making it and the weapon live a happy symbiotic relationship. It amuses me when people say the ScR is EZ MODE...you wanna know what makes it EZ MODE: people standing stark still in the open doing jack s*** then b******* about it on the forums.

So against armour, you could be looking at 40% less damage. That's disastrous for a weapon that's already very weak against armour, even more so when you consider that the SCR is far worse at sustained damage than any other rifle.
Unfortunately CCP doesn't think like this. I feel that they didn't look at individual weapon numbers and instead simply applied a blanket nerf.

I suspect some marginal thought was given to it, as it had the lowest damage nerf. But those differences are a few %. I predict the RR/CR will still be king of the rifle class come 1.8. Also... *looks at breach assault rifle*
I predict the CR will actually come out as king with the RR and Magsec closely behind. From there I would say PR, SMG, ScR, ScRP, then LR.

True, buy Aisha you have to admit, the scramblers a little too good right now. Not saying its crazy op! It does take some skill to place shots and manage your heat buildup. Honestly though, the viziam is pretty easy mode I watch my friend drop everything and anything that gets infront of him. Though the changes in 1.8 are going to make it a lot more tactical and all rifle users are going to have to be switching to side arms a lot more. The scram will be balanced next build. Personally, I'm of the opinion that it's fine atm without the Amarr assault, but with the Amarr assault it quickly becomes godmode.
I actually agree with this (I know this is going to make people flip out).
As a standalone weapon without the Amarr Assault, the ScR is the most balanced weapon in the entire game imo. The moment it is coupled with the Amarr Assault suit though, it encroaches on "OP territory."
For example, when I'm running Amarr Assault and ScR, I don't even bother looking at the heat build up bar because I know it's a non-issue. One day I decided to put the Viziam on a proto Gal Scout. It overheats. My reaction was "WTF IS THIS CRAP, THIS THING OVERHEATS?!?"
