If no one has to live with their choises, what is the point? People with 40mill+ sp have nothing left to look forward to. On 1.8 everyone will have everything they want. Tanks will be out in swarms due to damage mod nerf. More people will spend their extra sp to get into tanks. Myself included.
Right now, I have 4 proto suits. On 1.8 im only unlocking one (heavy-unsure on race). All the rest of SP will be dumped in tanks.

the problem is most players are too stupid and impatient to deal with tanks. if a tactic doesn't involve a head on frontal zerg rush with a rifle to a fixed point in space, they turn their collective noses up at it and despise the tactics required. these same type of players refuse to coordinate with friendly vehicles, or anyone for that matter. they are too busy trying to look down their noses from their gunsights. they won't deal with vehicles and they won't coordinate with friendly ones so instead they cry on forums and bang their AR's against their chests, crying out for CCP to save them.
u can ban the troll out of the forums but u can't ban the forums out of the troll.

Why should I bother coordinating and jumping through hoops to kill someone rolling around solo?
Force vehicles to use teamwork, and then you may have an argument.

dropship impact kills tank shields and a fair bit of armour and then hitting L1 to detonate the re is the deathstroke.

That tactic relies 100% on the enemy tank being oblivious. The counter?
Roll forwards or backwards. Seriously. Just the tiniest movement will leave you to die in the redline as the tanker chuckles to himself.
