He is talking about how if you beat the boss of the area accessed by the Pharros lock under the Servant's Quarters bonfire, you will get a key to the doors on either side of the Lost Sinner that will add more light to the boss room and increase your lock-on range during the fight.
Which has absolutely nothing to do with your Shadow Armor.
As for grinding the phantoms, what level and region are you? |

bunnywink wrote:Isn't deprived the best starting class?
Not really. Since all classes will have the same number of skill points when at equal levels, the best class is determined by which has the least amount of wasted stats.
For example, a no-magic character would be best off as a Bandit since it has 2 Attunement, 1 Intelligence, and 8 Faith for a total of 11 magic stats. The deprived starts with 6 in everything so it has 18 magic stats. |

True Adamance wrote:Oh the Belfry Luna? I didn't want to off a potential corp link by beating the area.
I'm pretty sure Belfry Luna will remain fully active as a Bellkeeper area even after defeating the boss. At the very least, offing the boss has no affect on your standing in the Bellkeepers or your ability to join.
But the other Bellkeeper area is much, much, much better for pvp than Luna. |

So they won't appear using ascetics during NG?
Well, at least its an ugly set. It can wait till NG+. |

True Adamance wrote:ITS AN AMAZING SET YOU TAKE THAT BACK!
And they do but I'm not sure with the 1500 HP they are though to have....that I can beat them. Unless there is a starting game OP weapon I can exploit.
It's a mummy with claws and a pyramid mask.
Leveling is pretty easy, so if you can bump your faith to 40 (you were doing a faith based route, right?) and get great lightning spear from the boss merchant in the Bastille, you could probably handle them with help from a greatshield user. |

Everyone was at one point. It's a definite climate shift from your usual video game.
Just use the shield with the highest physical defense you can find and a really big sword then you'll do just fine in DkSII. The faith lightning spears also make things a lot easier. |
