The damage profile of projectile weapons, CR, HMG, SMG, is -5% damage to shields and +10% damage to armor. Compared to the other damage profiles, the projectile damage profile has an unfair advantage; all of the other damage profiles have a net 0 gain in damage, while the projectile damage profile gets a 5% damage advantage.
The projectile damage profile needs to be changed so that it has a net 0 damage advantage; -5% damage to shields and +5% damage to armor, would be the reasonable solution.
Dev post that has the damage profiles. |

If the projectile weapons had a profile of -7.5%/+7.5% and 5% less damage then they'd be exactly the same.
Anyway I agree with you. 7.5% is too messy and the asymmetrical damage profile seems to have no basis so get rid of it while increasing DPS to maintain the current status quo. Lets not make any assumptions about CCP whether or not they plan ahead or not. |

Dev post that has the damage profiles. i think its that way so the minmatar would match its damage profile aganst armor to that of the amarr's laser weapons. notsure, bit dont laser weapons get 15% to shield and -10% to armor? i really forget. No, laser weaponry have +20% damage against shields and -20% damage against armor, which is even. There is no reason why the projectile's damage profile is -5% to shields and +10% to armor. |
