actually, In eve you can only use small guns. However, if you DID use medium, you'd probobly get about 5X bigger. large: 10x bigger than medium. capital: 1000x bigger than large.

expanding on the titan orbitals.
let's assume that eve ships fire pencills down to plannets for OBs
one pencil is 5 grams.
if the bullets in eve are 125 mm, that means that one gram is 25mm of bullet (not in reality, due to the invers square law, but we can assume)
medium turrets fire 220mm bullets, that is about 2 pencils / shot. or one standard eraser.
large turrets fire 800mm. this doesn't fit nicely into 125, so i'll come up with the literal conversion of about 32 grams, or about one foruth of a dualshock 3 controller.
capital turrets fire 3500mm bullets. this is about 140 grams, or about one whole dualshock controller.
just a tidbit :)

well, let's do a conversion, shall we?
when you hit a gunlogi down on dust, one full hit will render about 2k of the shields down. now that we know that 1 small laser turret = 2k damage we can go from here.
I'm going to take this part for granted: required PG = damage. if 7 pg does 2k damage hereare the conversions:
Turret size | | damage
Small | | 2,000
Medium | |38,000 (enough to cause major MCC damage)
Large | |150,000 (MCC one-shot kill)
Capital | | 46,428,571 (why take out one MCC, when you can take out roughly 300 of them in one shot)
Doomsday| |666,666,666 (666. lel. and yes, the would destryo a planet's biosphere)
