Before its current racial bonus gets scrapped. It's also my first PRO ISK suit, since during Chromosome I had SP everywhere, much like I do now.
And that armor rep rate. OH MAN, that armor repair rate. I have 3 complex rep modules on a PRO suit with a plate, and I think my rep rate is less than 1.00 away from 30 a second.
While I believe that changing the logi bonus to reducing resource consumption of equipment is an all-around better idea, it's too bad they're taking away the repair module bonus. I mean, damn, it takes a while for my Gallente logi to get all its armor back, but my Amarr has nearly all its armor back before the shield even regenerates.
I'm surprised that has never been a FoTM, considering the insane rep rate you can get without hives or a rep tool, plus its sidearm slot.
I may be missing something, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't call for a tank nerf before Uprising 1.7. - Atiim

Because what the point having huge repair rate once you have no armor ? => Repair means less armor. 30hp/s means almost no armor to repair. 1 Complex repair (12.81hp/s) is already pretty good and makes you able to have 500 amror ehp (+300 shield). 3 complex as you say makes you less than 350 armor....too squishy.

The reason it hasn't been a FOTM is because everyone and their mother brick tanks their suits and it's unimaginable to have anything with more than one armor rep.
And the fact the they flock to the Gallente suits because they get one more low slot for extra armor plating

Because a MLT AR laughs at your armor module rep rate.
If you really want to have awesome rep rates use...(whisper: FOTM with the gallogi) triage hives. |

I was a Gallente logi before it was cool.
I also had PRO hives before it was the FoTM.

Two Complex Reps and two Plates are better than three Reps, because with three Reps the only way to get a decent tank is to dual tank, and (in this build) that isn't a good option.

Only the proto had a sidearm slot, pitiful PG, and only 3 low slots.
That might be the reason it never really took off. Sure they fixed it but pretty much everyone had a cal lolgi at the time so why bother. |

I being one of the people that rolled with the punch of the lacking Amarr Logi instead of abandoning ship I have to say it's been rewarding. That said, there now is little point going prototype beyond the skill bonus and we're losing that in favor of equipment fitting reductions in 1.8. I have to agree with the rest, though, don't go all repair modules. Sure, the regen is something else but people see our glowing yellow coats they know what we're going to be doing. I've been in scrapes where I was repairing a heavy and the enemies were trying to aim around him to kill me. Most of the time they succeed... |

That might be the reason it never really took off. Sure they fixed it but pretty much everyone had a cal lolgi at the time so why bother. I remember when they announced that they were changing it. I hadn't yet hit Proto, so I was so excited that I'd finally get the Sidearm I'd been waiting for! :D
