My only beef with them as an NK user is how slowly and sometimes glitchy it is to deploy them. Even when they are working as intended, there is a fraction of a second delay in their use that I have yet to see in any other weapon.
Worse than that, there are times in which I clearly hit the trigger, and yet I don't do anything except look at a merc who had been given enough time to realize I wasn't a blue and put me away.

Must be the input lag. If you're talking about the NK locking up after 3 consecutive swipes, that's no longer there after vigorously testing it out myself.

It's all just a bunch of meta level BS to fabricate difficulty and the illusion of growth man. 'Tis plasma, not electricity. Check description. Uh. Electricity is needed to make plasma in most cases. Unless the knife is being swung so fast that it is being ionized by friction as it passes through the atmosphere, I would say it uses electricity. Probably conducted from the fusion reactor, through the palms of the dropsuit, and into the knife. Mine are Ionized by the atmosphere
