Is Caldari underpowered?

Stein Civire United Sovereignties 0	Posted - 2014.03.22 12:22:00 - [1] - Quote Being a Caldari for so long, I feel as if we are underpowered. severely underpowered, and I hate it. We rely heavily on shields, that's strike one, shields get depleted instantly by almost anything, and our low armor count doesn't help. Our weapons are less then most. If Caldari is suppose the long range race, why do Amarr weapons do it so much better? A scrambler rifle beats a rail rifle at any range! And at close range, we get beat out by combat rifles and assault rifles, even at medium to longish range we get beat by the combat rifle. The sniper rifle is decent at best, the swarm laucher does no damage to armor in every case I've been in, and The Forge gun is down right awful. The Nova Knifes are the best weapon we have! which is sad! A buff to a WHOLE race might take awhile, but it needs to happen CCP, ASAP

Combat Rifle and Rail Rifle. 1.8 comes out Minmatar will have the HMG while Caldari gets 2 new side arms with pistols not being nerfed at all, so not sure about the Gallente and Caldari pistol being op, but the Amarr Scrambler Pistol should see more use. Scrambler pistols are supposedly getting a ninja nerf to their ROF, bringing them down to around the 300's. So... yea... MagSec will likely be the new king. Nova Knives are OP! No it's not going to be as effective as a CQC rifle, the safety of range means that if it packed more punch, it would break risk vs reward. Swarm launcher is, again, broken mechanically. You should watch Judge's videos, they basically don't do full damage. Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives. DUST514514
