i think plasma cannon is fine as is. the stereotypical nonsense about it not being viable is from players who try and use it like a nova knife or shotgun instead of a long range suppressive artillery weapon. If you can use one and trap players in tight spaces with one, you win. No changes please.

Other way round. Direct hit is beautiful, but the limited splash makes it useless at bombardment. It's more of a very flexible OHK weapon, which is great.
As it is, to the OP, there were rumoured to be some changes due to some things posted on the SDE

It was filled with bugs last time I used it. Double reloads, empty shot, shot without animation, WTF. I've never seen a weapon so broken in a game in my entire life. |

thanks for the input, Never used them seriously in my own career. more of a flying and evading plasma kinda guy xD

I use it right now on a commando and it's fine against infantry.
It'll be even better on a gallente commando. The best way to use it is to fire into tight crowds or control doorways.

I wish the plasma did direct damage only, the AOE could be 10-15m and create a circle of Damage over Time, or 15m splash 100 damage, 1600 direct |
