F CCP they better not ditch us! Takes them what near 2 years to put in basic crap to their game. I know its free to play and all but f uc k Plantside2 is F2P and it was announced, went into alhpla, beta then released and is still adding new stuff all the time, and they actully comuincate with the fans. For a game to talk about to take near to years to get its basics is sad. |

When is an EVE Valkyrie demo coming? My Oculus Rift is just collecting DUST until then.

WHAAAT??? FPS shooter game??? I knew it! I knew it! That CCP are not going to make MMO with FPS elements, and just make ordinary loby shooter, with ability to chat with some pilots from other game (but we do't talk about the that other game anyway) 
I support BPO removal;
RDV to take your vehicles back;
and racial weapons on starter fits

My close friend also has an OR dev kit that he brings over quite often and, as you said, it is not heavy at all. In fact I remember being surprised at how light it was.
Gotta get that VR tolerance up though

Yeah that's what I've been hearing also. That is really light. I got to check out the HD prototype at the auto show. What I noticed was a slight latency and the blur on the LCD when you moved your head. I hear that it makes you motion sick and can disorientate you. Interested to see how dk2 address these issues.

Just like the helmet you'd be wearing when flying a spaceship has to weigh nothing.
For a game or setting where you're supposed to be not wearing armour, I can see the logic here. For something where there's a logical reason why you WOULD have some kind of weight on your head, not so much. |

It was way too heavy back in '94 when I first tried a demo of VR. Never saw a consumer version of it.
FYI, the OR weighs less than my Beyerdynamics Headphones I use together with it ^

Valkyrie looks pretty cool and I am encouraged that CCP is making it available on PS4. At least that's the way it seems right now. If the Morphius hardware is reasonably priced then I can see making an investment in VR tech as a distinct possibility.
As for Dust 514 going to PS4, I am confident it will come. The thing I am questioning though is if the game should remain Free-to-Play on the new system?. Of course it should remain F2P on the PS3, that is without question. But after nearly two years of Merc Packs and AUR purchases, I am beginning to question if it is the right business model for the game to get and stay healthy.
Maybe offer something similar to the core game play we have now (plus very basic PvE) for free, but require one-time purchases or even a modest subscription fee for access to advanced content. I have no issue with F2P and I think CCP has done a decent job keeping pay-to-win out of the game. I am just looking at it more from a development perspective. That process has been slow and resources seem to be limited. I would be willing to pay to get more, better and frequent content on my PS4 |
