Although it does raise tensions a little bit reminiscent of the cold war era, which I am not a fan of returning too. We don't need a third civil war.

if your talking about an American civil war, were long overdue for one. I am speaking based on our military strength, not the strength of all u.s citizens.

Our Army/Air Force and Navy/Marines can operate off of that for a good 5 years past how long it would take us to start pumping out of Alaska. Plus there is tech out there to turn exhaust from coal burns into gasoline, and jets can fly on natural gas/ hydrogen just as easily as from JP5-8. Actually, it would be very simple to turn airport refueling depots into natural gas/hydrogen/propane refineries/storage in under 3 months. It is all plug an play nowadays.

I am talking about the world community at large. We are all one race, the human one, therefore any wars that should or might happen are civil wars. We should not be fighting each other, we should be at a point in our existence where we are pooling together all of our scientific and natural resources for one thing, expansion into the known universe. There is a planned manned mars mission in the works right now, at the same time though we are squabbling over whose imaginary friend is better and where country lines are drawn.
