Dust 514 has been going through several core gameplay mechanic changes throughout uprising release. Although much of the new patches have truly done very little to improve the gameplay outside of introducing new weapons gear and a new marketplace for loyalty points. We needs more attention to appropriate balancing to dust 514. We are well into a full year of dust 514 and it comes to my attention that we are almost done with the core gameplay mechanic focus on the 5 year plan of CCP for dust yet improvements have not made large enough strides to improve the gameplay outside of a few new thing in the game.
This is a community awareness post that we should not be justifying this lack of progress. Now understandably everyone is human and mistakes are made but there comes a point where several mistakes in a certain amount of time needs to be addressed. I personally feel that there are still many players who don't criticize this game enough to push CCP to improve certain gameplay elements, and considering how much take has been taken to improve dust this in my opinion is less than pleasing. Now of course there are healthy criticism are unhealthy but at this point in time I feel that simply saying that game improvements to uprising are way behind given the amount of time spent is a healthy criticism and more people should voice it.
Now given that racial parity is coming to dust which could help focus balancing easier but in my honest opinion racial parity should have been a priority so balancing gameplay could be done quickly will get feedback at every new piece of equipment could be done in a shorter amount of time. 1.8 has many suits and new weapons that should have been introduced much earlier and could have been properly balanced out (if or when problems are discovered with new weapons) if the community had just got its hands on the products.
CCP you need to prioritize getting all weapons out and than balancing that way players can break those weapons earlier in the builds so you can appropriately balance out each piece of equipment before the year comes to an end. |

It's not really shocking, compared to the developmental process of EVE. Let 1.8 drop first, see what's happening at fanfest and then lets talk about the next plateau for Dust.
The best thing about Dust that we often forget is that it is an ongoing developmental process...we got time. I do agree with that statement that its a ongoing process. But time is not something we got necessarily, if you continue to displease a fan base the most common result is the fan base disappears. Now I think CCP should take their time making these builds but the problem was that they don't actually take their time. Instead it a process of trial and error. This is a bad things when it comes to improving gameplay. Why? Because the players have no problem waiting, what we are truly frustrated with is the time after time of patching but each patch has another set of problem that are introduced into the game. The word patch is use to improve or fix a particular problem, which each patch has done every little of that.
If we keep giving it a pass the player base will dwindle and move on to another game. |

Actually players DO have a problem with waiting. They QQ'd about a 3 month cycle so CCP changed it to a monthly cycle. Now they QQ when content seems rushed or too buggy. Cake anyone? Well you can't have it.
The month to month cycle for patches had nothing to do with player patience, its focus was to improve core mechanics quickly so they could pave the way for new equipment in the game which in truth should have been done backwards. 1.2 devs blogs explains the reason for why they are doing monthly cycles for only 6 months, it had nothing to do with players.
Here is that devs blog about the monthly patch cycle for those 6 months. (also in case you didn't know, those monthly cycles are no longer apart of dust anymore) http://dust514.com/news/blog/2013/06/uprising-1.2-and-beyond/ |

You got nothing to apologize for dude, If you didn't know its not your fault. Anyhow I do stand by my thought that we should voice up alot more as a community as show CCP how passionate we are to want to improve dust. |

... and so on and so forth. Thats why introducing weapons should be a priority first so balancing weapons can be done in a fast past without the nerf buff culture coming and going each and every patch that brings in new weapons. |
