As awesome as it feels using the breach shotgun from time to time, it's simply not the most viable choice compared to the regular. What would really make it worthwhile to use is by adding another shell per clip, and maybe a SMALL buff in RoF. It's already hard enough to deal with the painfully slow reload and awful RoF. But I can see the breach shotgun being more useful in 1.8 with the given proficiency change. It's almost time to dust off my Allotek

The regular felt too inconsistent but the breachs higher damage and slightly longer range made it feel much more useful. Though i wouldnt mind another shot or increased damage even furthur and keeping it a double barrel shotgun from the future  There will be occasions where even if you manage to land all 2 shells against a heavily tanked player, they can still survive, and combining the time interval between shots and the abysmal reload time gives the enemy plenty of time to whip around and decimate you. I can see this becoming more common in 1.8 with the influx of heavies and the resistances they have, but of course, we won't exactly know for sure until we actually get to experience it.
