So the cloak modules will no doubt bring a different strategy and tactic to the game. Just a simple question (that is, if you care to reveal), how will you use your cloak or some things you might have to watch out for, with cloaks?
I know for sure that REs aren't going to be the only problem now. I imagine scouts are going to be camping the objective with the cloak engaged, soon as you start hacking, scissors to the back.
And I don't mind that all, love new challenges!

I'm not using mine to camp the objective, I'll use the environment and my scanning range like I do already. THe cloak will only come into play for me, in that situation, once I know someone is at or near the objective.

You realize that to use the cloak scouts will will have to have it actively in use and that switching to a weapon will decloak them. Just have a buddy covering you and you'll be fine. You should never try solo hacking anyway.

Yes I do. That doesn't mean the scout can't stand in area where your back is turned and he decloaks to kill. The time it takes to dislodge from the hack, spin around, acquire target and fire can be all the time he needs to drop you.
Still its exciting to think of all the different possibilities with cloaks and I'm not a scout nor will I be.

I mostly just plan on using mine to get across open stretches. People walk past me as is without noticing, and it's freakin' hilarious killing someone spinning around with a scanner. That "Oh ****" moment is priceless, even if I can't see their faces, I just know they're panicking.

Run a Caldari scout, then the only thing that can escape your passive scanning is the double dampened Gallente scout or quad dampened Amarr.
Sure other scouts can evade you with cloaks but that means very little as they can't fire while cloaked. You'll see them immediately after they decloak. Plus cloaks do have cool down so time it right and scout is easy pickings.
Or just fire off a proto scan from a Gallente Logi, that will ping most scouts unless they are heavily dampened. |

Have some very choice words for people: Don't hack my objective. It is my objective. There are other ones that don't have a cloaked psychopath with scans strong enough to pick up other scouts.
You're not going to sneak up on me, you're not going to surprise me, and you're not going to survive unless you leave my objective alone. But feel free to try, I hate boredom more than people trying to hack my stuff.

I love people that do this, makes it so much easier to kill them just stand well back and put one round in the RE the downside is less WP but the upside is its hilarious.

There should be a freaking Guardian bonus when killing enemies while next to a Letter hacking blue. Right now everyone is so WP-happy tactics go right out the window.

God I loved that melee. Still remember my favorite. Snuck up on a sniper that had basically wiped out half my team. Slammed him into a wall and drove the knife right through his eye.

Has happened to me once, but its worth it for the other 99% of the time. Not to mention If there is enough room behind me ill drop it so its own blast wont get me, but a person a meter or two behind me would get hit.

Please consider all the facts before posting. Uncloaking will make a pretty loud noise they said. If it's not "0,1 miliseconds" then uncloaking and stabbing someone will be harder than just walking up to him and stabbing him. |

So basically a battlefield is devoid of noise except cloaking and no one rush hacks. Each game is perfect. Please use an open mind before posting and examine all possibilities.
The sound it would make would probably, more than likely, be the spawn in sound. Also, you act as if hacking objective means walking into central park for a nice stroll. Gunfire, tank wurring, explosions can all cause a merc to walk onto an objective quickly without examining their surroundings, wanting to hurry up and hack the objective for the sake of time. Maybe there is only enough time to get the hack before the team loses to keep them in the game to kill off the rest of the clones. A scout can be cloaked in a corner, or some odd distance from the objective while waiting for some unlucky sap to hack the objective.
