With new roles lot of SP became totally USELESS, totally not used. For me it's about 12/14 million SP that is going to burn uselessly (70% of my SP). (Logi equipements / Minmatarr weapons and Sidearm while i'm going to Amarr Commando, Full Amarr Stuff.) 
At least give me the opportunity to transform it into something else.
I understand you don't want a full respec to avoid, full stuff warriors throught the whole game, avoid FOTM, and learning to player to spend their SP with caution BUT i got a solution to that :
Making us able respec on a each skillbook. allowing you to save only 25% of the SP spend into THIS skill. (Not tree, but only this skill, ISK are not refunded)
a "skill" is per example :
-Proficiencies
-Operation (to use weapon)
-Armor repair.
-There's one skill for each equipements (exclude Nano which up nanite injecor AND nanohives)
etcetc....
We need the ability to be able to respec EACH skill as we want BUT only 25% of the SP invested on this skill AND no ISK refund.
AND a free (which give 100% of SP) refund on dropsuit command (only one) as you decided previously.
Exemple :
If i've spend 10 million into equipement and i want to respec it it would give me 2.5 unallocated SP. (the 7.5 other are lost.)
I must respec each equipement skill one by one losing 75% of the SP invested in each of them.
It gives the opportunity to change roles BUT with a penality, you can't just "swap" roles and be as powerful than before. It avoid FoTM.
And to be honest you changed all the rules, not really our fault.....We deserved an option like this.
Guys what do you think ? Give real opinion not just "It suckz loool". |

If you want your skills to remain useful spec back into that role you were playing before 1.8 if you want to use the respec to change roles that call is on you and you will need to deal with the consequences

My role i was playing pre-1.8 is no longer viable, and can't be used anymore.
And i'm logi since a year and a half, i'm getting tired of it, tired of this yellow crap.

Actually it rewards Slayer logi that never spend a single SP into equipements and penalizes logi that have spend SP into equipements....

Are we supposed to keep role and just buy tanks because we don't play this orle naymore ? It is the ONLY SOLUTION ? If for you it is. Then this game is doomed. |

Any time - there's no absolute skill cap. You can HTFU by using lower tier weapons/suits instead of going full proto from day 1. |

1.8 respec was not targeted for you to change roles, it was made for you to changes races if you wanted to.
My I only have two equipment skills not at level 5 and you don't see me b*tching. Just because they are balancing equipment does not make in useless.
Right now if I am tired of my assault suit I can train into scout and play that. Not sure why everyone thinks they can only play one role.
After 1.8 spec back into logi then train into another suit, then you will be able to use logi and whatever other suit you want.

I juste HATE to see all those SP.....useless i'd prefered to see them erased. But not for nothing.

As i said with the Logi changements, my role is no longer viable, impossible, even if i spec as before it will be OVER.
So...you say than the game is over for me because i can't do as before and can't go to future? Okay.....sad.
As yo usaid it was supposed to be ble to change races....HOW are we supposed to hcange races ?
And even.....Roles between races has changed.....I was Hp-regen into my Amarr fit, no they swapped with gallente....
They changed EVERYTHING.
This is the damn full racial line up...... Each race are diffrent. |

Your not going to do all that stuff as commando but you can skill back into logi and keep using your equipment with logi.
If you are also interested in commando just spec into That also.
Just like pre1.8 if I play logi and want to play scout I will just skill into scout and retain all my logi skills and will have to newly skill into scout skills.

In Eve Online, they just recently changed the bonuses of a lot of frigates in that game. The Rifter for example no longer has a bonus to projectile turret rate of fire. It now has a bonus to projectile turret falloff instead. Guess what. None of the Eve Online players asked for a respec on a game that is 11 years old. The last time they ever had any respec was back in 2003 just after their official launch and that was it.
You could say that Dust and Eve are two different games on two different platforms, but they are both set in the same culture, server, and universe as that of Eve Online. We call this universe New Eden and here are its rules. No, there is no official page stating these rules. This just so happens to be the norm in New Eden by general consensus.
1. Adapt or Die.
2. Don't use what you can't afford to lose.
3. Accept the consequences of your choices.
As I pointed out in the other thread that you have, I have no problem with respecs as long as they are ONLY as needed as a result of an overhaul. And again, I am of the opinion that we should have gotten a partial respec of the weaponry skill tree. But considering the fact that we just had a #MillionCloneChallenge that awarded participants with 2-3 million FREE SP and now we're getting a new event that will net us an extra 750,000 SP, I am not one to complain.
