ADV Breach Plasma cannon ( http://www.stuff514.com/sde/type/363844 ) - Projectile drop - 3250.0 speed (slower than above) - 299.25 splash damage - Direct hit damage 1411.2 - 1.4 m blast radius
Did CCP listen to the community?!
Edit: Assault plasma cannon has no info about clip size, so possibly it could have 2-3 shots in clip (or a burst of 3 shots), if you compare the total damage per clip with the regular variant.

It says nothing about clip size.
1100 (regular variant)/385 (assault variant) = 2.8
So the assault plasma cannon is predicted to have 2-3 shots in clip, or a burst of 2-3 shots.

Well, I know a lot of people stack damage so that they can oneshot lightly tanked suits with splash? And maybe it has a magazine greater than one.
But based on the stats we have, yeah, that's underwhelming.
Although I had a panic attack for a moment there; I thought the breach was dealing 3250 damage O.O

Those are mass driver stats. The MD in 1.8 will be doing like 325 direct damage and unless the radius changes, will have a 4.0 blast radius. And that gets six shots.

Perhaps PLC will have a few shots less (4-5?), but behave similarly to the MD. With the charge mechanic of course. Hell, perhaps that could motivate 6 shots with higher damage. I hope PLC become viable again in the fanfest expansion.

I know this isn't EVE. I am not stating that AV/vehicles are balanced. I understand there is a problem with AV. I understand that you think CCP doesn't listen or know how to balance things. I understand that you may believe that another patch may not come for a year. I know that the game has problems. I am not trying to say anything about balance, timely releases, quality of released content, competence of CCP or players or anything other than the following:
I think the burst of 2-3 shots is the way to go. I use the PLC and there are times when I feel like the burst option would be the best but in some situations I would prefer a high damage single shot. I have said more than once that I would take a multi shot burst over more in the chamber. I want a PLC with more in the chamber but the burst is more interesting to me.

Plasma cannon needs to do at least 2500 damage with how slow it fires and how much ammo you get. Forge does more damage, fires faster and has a clipwith ridiculous accuracy and range and projectile speed.
This is a pleasant change. Id rather have a 6 round assault plasma cannon clip though than burst fire, lol at burst fire.

Proto breach projectile should according to this have 1478.4 damage without damage mods and without shield/armor bonuses considered.
No proficiency
1478.4*1.05*1.10 (1 comp dmg mod and shield bonus) = 1707.6 dmg to shields
1478.4*1.05*1.05*1.10 (2 comp dmg mod and shield bonus) = 1792.9 dmg to shields
With proficiency 4, 1 dmg mod
1478.4*1.05*1.20*1.10 (1 comp dmg mod and shield bonus) = 2049.1 dmg to shields
With proficiency 5, 2 dmg mod
1478.4*1.05*1.05*1.25*1.10 (2 comp dmg mod and shield bonus) = 2241.2 dmg to shields
Proto gallente commando, proficiency 5, 1 dmg mod

So, I just wanted to add that the Proto Breach Plasma Cannon will have approx 1052.3 shield DPS if you have Prof 5, Reload 5 on a gal commando with Operation 5. Excluding the bugged delay after firing, and projectile travel time. I-¦m also assuming 100% hits and that the breach-¦s reload speed is 3.5 s.
This is just theoretical, and based on the stuff we see in SDE. So take my calculaitons as a "direction" rather than absolute truth.
