 This question was brought up in my challenge topic ***[Challenge 6] Biomass yourself for tickets***. What does the community feel is a fair price (in tickets) for destroying BPOs. What is the value differentiation between various classes of BPOs such as event items and market items?

 Kaydee Rashyo wrote:I'm contemplating committing seppuku, boss. But I have a Dragonfly Scout BPO, Toxin SMG BPO, and an Exile AR BPO in my possession. If you could sweeten the ticket pot for my destruction of these priceless items, I'd totally go DIAF.

 Wait was that not an alt?

 I did notice you had a self-bumping spree above.

 Anyway. Mods would have a lower value, presumably, than the other module types, and I'd probably say that the 'Templar' set should be the most valuable, given the expense of acquiring it.

 I'd also say the 'Dren' suits would be next, wih the 'Covenant' items close behind.

 I can't decide where the 'Skinweave's should go, though. On the one hand they're common, being an event reward, but on the other hand they belong to old characters.

 It might be worth giving them a sliding scale based on total SP, too. I know I've got a 3M toon with a full 'Dren' set on it attached to my main (because I'm silly, apparently). Would seem a bit odd if my toon was inherently more valuable than another's character owing to the BPOs.

 As for items values, I like where you're going and would like to hear more of your thoughts on the sliding payout scale. As more most valuable BPOs I would have to rank the Angel Cartel Saga and the C-II Master Recruiter Suit at the top purely for rarity sake.

 No, will keep this going. I am looking at the media angle this can generate for CCP by promoting the deeply unique social aspects of Dust 514 that are not found in any other FPS on the market. Yes, the facet of trust plays heavily into this, as people don't particularly trust me for the potentially deeper motivations I appear to have. I could very well encourage players to biomass their characters (developed through a year of hard effort) and not deliver on the promise of a payout as one grand spiteful troll. Or, I could follow the protocols as outlined in the lottery drawing, remaining honest and above board, building trust in the community--which is essentially going to be the only power I have once I personally run out of items to give people.

 @jerrmy
 Jadek right now is only a catalyst for BPO possible biomassing, but the fact that there are people considering it is inherent to Dust's state. Who knows maybe Jadek will call this challenge off, but there will be someone else who'll take his place as a catalyst, it's beautiful and horrible; it's human nature.

 @Jadek
 You have been corrupted beyond salvation man... biomassing bpo's, damn that's evil, evil genius that is!

 Even if you could pull the worst troll and not give anyone anything, the biggest twist ever would be keeping your word and giving away those assets which I look forward to seeing if I'm not drawn away to a bonfire for good before player market, keep up the good work!
