gallente dropship = elegant beast
caldari dropship = mechanical abomination
joking aside both races can be competitive. the caldari can be buffed with actives to become a temporary juggernaught. the gal has overall natural longevity
learn to relax when under heavy fire, it's easy to panic and overeact on the controls, until you can get into a position to pull an evasive loop. can't really give you specific python advice because i fly incubus. but imo learning to relax under fire is a huge bonus for whatever you choose to fly. it just takes practice where you are comfortable, you'll be like, "i can take this next shot, and after that i will evade". it's like a racing game if you know the map in and out you have a huge advantage.
it's easy to become frustrated with piloting but if persevere you will break thru. there is no 100% recipe for success in piloting. it's very situational but you will see an increase in success rate as you persevere.
you might consider ditching the armor rep if it's preventing you from fitting something shield related. you want to play on your ships strong points which for python is shields.

Mmmm thanks ill try ive gotten a few kills w the incubus I seem to die faster on the python my guessing is from railtanks giving me the old 1-2 but ill keep experimenting fits
i know there are some awesome python pilots. , you might not want to write it off until a caldari pilot can give you better info
