I forced myself to get 10 games in. I even counted, and didn't count games I entered late into or got disconnected from. It took forever, and just exemplified the problems the game has when you are FORCED to just keep slamming your face into them over and over and over...
You should never FORCE your players to play your game. Many of us won't out of spite, others won't because they have IRL obligations, and still more know when they are being played and will go play something else...

I had a choice. Either play DUST now and get 2mil free SP, or not play and not get the SP. That's like saying 'HEY, you don't HAVE to kill that tank, but if you don't you will never cap. So yaknow, do whatever.' Not playing would forever deprive me of a large store of quick SP. If there were something, anything else more pressing, I would have done that instead. Having an event at all is not an excuse for making said event a grindy slog.
Furthermore, there was no ingame measure of my gameplay. I had no idea if those matches when I came in late counted, nor did I know if crashing out invalidated a game from the counter. There NEEDS to be a visual readout for events like, for example, Warframe or Planetside 2, which have progress bars whenever an event happens. We know exactly what the game knows, and we don't have to assume that this counted and this didn't.
