While I like the idea of picking a Cal scout for countering other scouts, I don't think it's going to happen. It takes two to three complex precision enhancers just to pick up an MK.0 with one complex dampener, and that's likely on a Cal scout (Not entirely sure right now as the protofitting tool doesn't have the Cal scout up for whatever reason  More likely than not, whatever has already been said is what will happen. A few Galogi suits will come in with proto scanners (possibly multiple scanners each) and scan the crap out of the area until they hunt and kill the scouts. 
Nova Knives are OP! Nerf em before you lose all your proto suits!

What? You got shot on the way there? I guess you should have called in a tank or dropship or LAV instead to get you there. Hm? You didn't want to give away your position to the enemy team by calling in and driving/flying one of those? Well, that's too bad for you. Perhaps you should switch to something with a bit more health? Just because your scout suit is nearly useless on half the maps because it gets one shotted by everything doesn't mean it's not OP, because it totally is and it should never have anything to balance it out.
