These numbers seem insane. All ScPs save for the Breach variants have gotten a *MASSIVE* nerf in 1.8, at least almost twice as much as any of the rifles. The proto variants have had their DPS almost halved. I'm a little angry that this hasn't been mentioned *at all* in the dev blogs, when it is by far the biggest weapon change coming in 1.8. I didn't even know that the ScP was a problem. When has anybody ever complained about the scrambler pistol being OP?
A more comprehensive breakdown of the ROF and DPS changes for each ScP:
Militia Scrambler Pistol & Scrambler Pistol 400 ---> 285.71 RPM (533.33 ---> 380.95 DPS, 29% nerf)
Assault Scrambler Pistol 422.54 ---> 301.51 RPM (563.39 ---> 402.01 DPS, 29% nerf)
Breach Scrambler Pistol 133.33 ---> 133.33 RPM (DPS unchanged)
KLO-1 Scrambler Pistol 444.44 ---> 285.71 RPM (622.22 ---> 400 DPS, 36% nerf)
TT-3 Assault Scrambler Pistol 468.75 ---> 301.51 RPM (656.25 ---> 422.11 DPS, 36% nerf)
TY-5 Breach Scrambler Pistol 133.33 ---> 133.33 RPM (DPS unchanged)
CAR-9 Burst ScP 740.74 ---> 476.19 RPM (622.22 ---> 400 DPS, 36% nerf)
Viziam Scrambler Pistol 500 ---> 285.71 RPM (733.33 ---> 419.04 DPS, 43% nerf)
Carthum Assault Scrambler Pistol 526.32 ---> 301.51 RPM (771.94 ---> 442.21 DPS, 43% nerf)
I was going to take a wait and see until you posted all of the RPM numbers. They do seem quite low.
For instance, the burst: It is a 3 round burst type of weapon, the change in RPM means than it went from requiring 4.12 trigger pulss per second to max out (easy by average trigger pulling standards) down to 2.64 trigger pulls per second (which is incredibly slow).
The nerf to the carthum assault won't be quite as noticeable, as it went from 8.772 trigger pulls per second (not many people will reach this high) to 5.02 trigger pulls per second (around the average)
So while the scrambler pistols did get an unwarranted nerf, I am not entirely sure how much of a real-world condition nerf this will in fact be. Needless to say I am quite skeptical.
While there is no better place to be wealthy than the Gallente Federation, there is no hell worse for the poor either.

My Amarr Sentinel is going to NEED that ScP with the HMG. It will be the best sidearm against shields, with a longer range than the Ion Pistol.

I mean the only time I see you on the forums is when you are claiming amarr are OP or some such non-sense. Only nerf to ScP is RoF?? You realize that RoF * damage = DPS right?
There are only a few weapons in game that are not concerned with DPS (the sniper rifle, the Plasma canno kina, and the shotgun... maybe the flaylock/massdriver too)
While there is no better place to be wealthy than the Gallente Federation, there is no hell worse for the poor either.

Look. If you're using a weapon that has -20% damage against armor, and wondering why your DPS sucks once their shields are down, then perhaps you need to take a math class? When you nerf damage mods and change proficiency to be shield or armor based, the solution is to switch to a sidearm that will do better against armor/shields.That detail seems to be what EVERYONE is ignoring. I've known it for a while know because my Assault Rifle is a hybrid plasma. That's why I lose 1v1 gunfights with the enemy down to barely any armor left. Because I'm not skilled into SMGs to finish them off. I need to cleanse myself of this forum. It's too full of stupidity.
