I keep hearing this over and over that aim assist makes speed tanked dropsuits useless.
These people must've never met the scout players I encountered this weekend. I kid you not when I tell you that hit detection had problem following them around!
They were also using proto shotguns (of course), and this tactic where ran circles around me and my teammates, dropping RE's in our midst and got out and while detonating us to hell.
I forget their names though unfortunately, but whoever you are: hats off to you.
And to all you people complaining that aim assist makes this tactic unviable: reality just proved you wrong! |

What these people seem to want is to be able to see me at Manus C from Manus B, and run at me and SG me in the face without needing to worry about my bullets.
I seem to see plenty of scouts too fast for me to kill, either because they're dodging and weaving in and out of cover, or just because I can't seem to track them properly.
Then they run around behind me and shoot me in the back of the head.
Real men do it with missiles.

I never said it makes it ENTIRELY null, but it reduces/negates the effectiveness of minmatar's 1 benefit: speed.
Sure you could say massive CPU pool, but that's kinda nulled when we need to use a PG mod.
Regardless i could say the current AA is 'fine' it's just tht now RR's can kill me before their so called 'recoil effect' kicks in.
'Sorry Dakka, they're just so... Beautiful.' -cries-

I have never liked playing with DS3, but picked it up after 1 year playing Dust with KBM, fitted pistols on my gal scout and with AA went 26/2 with 5 headshots.....
If you thats not owerpowered then I dont know what is....
Now I can tell the difference if the enemie has DS3 with AA or KBM since I can outmanuver the KBM aiming but not the DS3 autoaim.

That's only if you believe the use of speed is to try and dodge bullets in a firefight. Have you ever heard of the phrase. "I'm up, I'm moving, he's seen me, I'm down" This is phrase taught for tactical movement you should never be without cover for longer than it takes you to say that phrase.
Minmatar speed is more advantageous in Combat than just dodging bullets. As for the Minnie Suit, I find PG to be more than plentiful for my fits, although my CPU currently stands are maximum even with standard RE's and grenades.
The Minmatar suit needs more low slots, 4-4 at proto to give the range of fittings and variety that the minmatar deserve.
Unless your a Computer Scientist don't tell me how Game Mechanics Work.

you do know thats who you were fighting dont you...
and you know they are legends for being able to do this crap right?
thats not normal performance.
You and I disagree alot, but on this we agree wholeheartedly.
I have never been afraid of anyone, especially not in a videogame, but if I see either of them I turn my awareness up to paranoid levels to make sure I have even the slowest chance of survival.

Strafe dodging can work for those with kb/m because they can instantly change direction, whereas DS3 players have to go from one side to the other with the thumbstick. which takes time, even if only a little.
Also, lag can contribute massively to the ability to hit anyone.
And yes, as Ghosts Chance said, there are people who are insanely difficult to play against and they are not the norm.

Raise TTK. Fix that remote bug that we have had for over a year now.
And while I've seen the shotgun twins do a lot of fun stuff, ive never seen them do the jihad bomber thing. That is Fusion Commander's bread and butter from what I've heard. |

You changed your controller and your fit at the same time? That's not very scientific. Scrambler pistols are also being nerfed in 1.8 for being too awesome.

I have watched Fusion sprint through a building, pop a couple of remotes and break the killfeed.
I don't think I've ever seen him exploit the post-mortem crap.

I did try pistols with KBM also, kinda useless vs moving targets at close range, with DS3 it was easy mode...

Jihad bombers didn't even exist when the shotgun twins were around, and I don't Jihad, I did it a few times at the start of 1.7 but I didn't like this tactic so I just stopped either that or people a just making stuff up |
