Halo 4 takes place in the year 2557
DUST 514 takes place in the year 23014 ( if i'm correct )
Now compare both games
see the difference?
My opinion entirely... Just the fact that Dust 514 is 20457 years ahead of halo 4 is embarrassing with how bad the game is doing....
Even master chiefs shield systems are better than an average dust merc
You can judge my opinion on how halo 4 may have more "resources" and that DUST 514 is a "Free Game" but based on the graphics you should be able to support at least 32v32 by now *Bare Minimum
battlefield 4 is set in the year 2020 and in DUST I cant even vault over the smallest of cover and or obstacle and getting up a basic hill is a mess. There isn't even deployable drones for scouting out areas, and there isn't even things like Deployable shield cover or active speed modules. or even... destruction or damn even a jetpack or at least hover boots ( lmao ) Dust DOES have one thing BF4 and halo 4 dont have. The rpg element of a skill tree. and constant work being done by ccp. I see potential and a great future for the game ( And im excited for the out come for the next 7 or 8 years I think )
Here comes the flame... I said enough.

Lore-wise, when we went through the EVE Gate, we were sent into a "dark age". Basically, the capsuleers are attempting to recover old technology, such as from the Jovians, and advance. Dropsuit technology is relatively new.

So within 543 years we will have Halo technology? Awesome than we can have shield bubbles sooner than CCP can develop them.

Now OP let me educate about the story of New Eden... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZPCiqBLPM8
See, something ugly hit the fan, and the entire New Eden is not at all related to Your "Halo" or "Battlefield" or whatever universe you want, so, your entire thread is invalid. |

if u wana get technical so is the halo universe, although i'm not sure on how much time passed since humanity v1.0 used the halo rings to kill and re-seed the universe (with some slight tampering of our genetic code which may have accelerated things).

the real question is where did all the witches go?
i mean cmon! few hundred years ago these witches were cursing entire villages, causing blights on the land, deformities and general nastiness!
evidently technological progress has gone backwards!
ps: humans have been around for what? 10 million years in our current iteration, and of that its only the last 10 000 years or so that we've been domesticating animals and farming or some such... in the last 300 years we've lept ahead in leaps and bounds sure.... but that doesnt ensure that our progress will continue at the same pace as it has...
just because something in "in the future" doesnt mean that its all "glowy shiny future STUFF!s!!" ... should earth suffer another ice age.. ill be sure to wake you up in time for its thaw.. where ill point you to the nearest iPhone birthing mutant cow, so you can call your internet provider and ask why there is no power in your house.

Like in Warhammer 40k
A lot of knowledge and technology was lost in the collapse of civilisation In the case of Dust literally when the Eve Gate collapsed.

"the Galaxy Rebuilt" is a literary hack. The truth is future tech, REAL future tech, would be as unfathomable to us as the internet would be to an ancient ancestor. The only ways in which the far-flung future can be visualised in any understandable way is to is to either:
A) Have Galactic Civilisation collapse, and base the current era's tech on what is available or imaginable now, or
B) just say "F*ck it" and introduce "Magic" to the plot.
Because if you think about the advances in just the last 100 years alone, even if the rate of advance slowly declines, what is available in 500 years from now will be completely beyond any of us without the relevant early-childhood indoctrination that the people of that era will have had.
Shouting doesn't make your opinion seem more valid, it just makes you seem more annoying.
