I ran the minmatar in chromosone and changed to caldari with the first respec. Since I skilled back int minmatar again.
I am thinking about swapping to gal after the dropsuit respec because I just feel to squishy in the minmatar and I don't like shield tanking with the caldari. I prefer armor tanking and I like scanners. if they are usable with the update. I tdon't care much for chasing a heavy around the whole match but I will still be using a repper and my needle.
I would like to get some other suggestions of you pros and cons of the logi suit and your choice and reason. |

Maybe I'm wrong but I thout the gallogi would be kinda beefy for logi but maybe that won't be as much of an issue with the new build coming. |

Another question. Does the amarr logi fit the bill for an assualt logi roll? I notice it has a high base hp compared to the other logi suits. I plan on investing more into some av so this would help save some skill points because of the amarr side arm. I have run av with my logi suit but I quickly changed to an assault suit because of the times getting caught with only a swarm launcher against a redberry. The end result was me jumping around like a mad man only to get shot in the back while trying to run 45 seconds later. Very humiliating. Any thoughts about the amarr suit and the gal will be appreciated |

I run the Gal logi now, and have skilled into most things at advanced. Not an expert, but here are my thoughts: The basic is squishy as hell! and gets 2 lows, count 'em: 2. No highs. in 1.8 unless you are really low in sp, it seems like running a scout will be far smarter than a cheap logi fit. From Advanced onward all those low slots lend the Gal a good level of customisability, and it has enough highs (which are pretty useless to it IMO) to throw on a couple of damage mods. I guess that's the reason people say it tends to be used as a slayer: Otherwise useless high slots? It's a pretty solid suit though... You can tank it 'till it can barely move, or fit it with a truckload of support modules.
As to the Amarr suit, i haven't used it. Yet. I don't know if it's really that badass, but it looks like a good jack of all trades so when i can, i'm swapping out to it rather than Gal. I want my Main to be able to tackle any task adequately, and Amarr Logi looks like it can to me.

No change. Sticking with the Amarr, but will skill into Caldari too. Amarr logi is a solid suit, but at present it can be hard to fit properly. Hopefully it will be a little easier with the new equip bonuses.
As for AV, I'd advise against it. I tried using it that way, but I found that I could fit the basic Amarr medium frame better for AV. The logi suit is too slow and is always hurting for PG. (Proto may be a different story but I never use my proto suits so I couldn't tell you)

After many deep thoughts on the subject I think CCP intended the Minmatar to dual tank. I know, it feels dirty, but half the Minmatar suits are biased towards shields but the other half are biased towards armor and the Logi just about screams for dual tanking. My opinion is to just ignore those Amarr and their concept of "purity" and get the job done with whatever you can tape to your suit.

I used the extra skill points from this morning to spec into gal and amarr. Both are slower than I am used to but amarr feels almost like a heavy to me. I do feel comfortable in the suit though. I really liked the pg cpu bonus on the gal suit. It allowed me to run good equipment in all four slots and have some room for some good high and low modules.
This makes me think us logis of all races will love the new logi bonus. For me its been a sacrifice of survivability or better equipment. With this problem gone now I feel I will like the logi roll a lot better. If the update was not bringing this change I would go gal for sure and regret not trying it out sooner.
Well I'm gonna be taking the time the next couple of days trying out both factions before the respec. I am thankful for the respec it has giving me the opportunity to do this without penalty of a loss of wasted skill points |

Caldari will be in the strongest position to actually be fill a 'Logistics' role as CCP established it in EVE. Bascially 'support your friends.'
They will be bonused to hives which can both resupply ammo and repair armor. Their bonus applies to both aspects of the hive. In addition, the same skill that unlocks needles. It obviously won't rep as well as a MinLogi, but that's not a real issue. With three equipment slots on it at ADV and above, throw on a 100% needle, a dedicated ammo hive, and a triage hive (ammo + rep if ammo becomes an issue.) That way you don't need to worry so much about repping. Pick them up with full armor, give them decent reps from a hive, refill ammo.

This was kinda the story of my life for awhile especially the no secondary part.I eventually learned to reload after almost every engagement. It even messes me up sometimes when I run my heavy suit.
Kill a guy instantly reload. Oh wait no quit reloading I didn't mean to do that. A guy in a militia suit turns the corner and mows me down with the a militia ar point blank. Fail |
