I need to know this ASAP. If i deployed the corresponding equipment in the specified suit, then switch out to another race, will my equipment still keep their race bonuses? The reason im asking is because i got stockpiles of proto gear that i will probably never use IF equipment doesn't keep their race bonus. Can i get this question answered soon, please?! |

I don't know the answer to your question but the proto equipment will become more important with their reduced capability. Would you really downgrade to something really weak?

I would assume that it would because you used that suit when you deployed it so thus the bonus actually applied to the actual piece of equipment at the time.
That'd be pretty idiotic if it changed as it would make the battlefield inconsistent for squads and your team.

I would guess yes, but would be nice to get dev confirmation that this is in fact what will happen. My logi fittings are dedicated to certain equipment, so my long term plan was to skill into advanced versions of all logi variants, create fittings matching suit with equipment, and deploy it with the right suit -- I generally switch suits 3-4 times during a match. Would like to know before skilling into other logi variants.

I REALLY wanna know about this. While I already got 3 proto logi suits, was thinkin about using bonus from challenge to just get my 4th proto logi, the Amarr. Since a refund is imminent, I was likely gonna split up the protos (1 heavy, 1-2 logi, 1 assault, 0-1 somethin). However, if I can have all equip running the new bonuses after a switch (which was pointed out makes more sense than not) I can be my do-it-all logi still, just not able to do it on 1 suit anymore. |
