can we, as a community, form organized AV squads and spend the whole day stomping scrub tankers? I think if we make it seem that tanks will no longer be an i-win button on release day, fewer people will spam them

You saw how well the community worked together during "The Million Clone Challenge" (they didn't).
And you think that they will suddenly come together without some excessive SP reward (they won't).

I'm not so sure about that. Could have sworn there was a big increase in try-hard and shooting people in the face.

We can do that now but no one will, they hide or quit. You know scrub stuff, if we stand our ground and fight we can win almost every time but people refuse to try.

They will come together for the WP they'll get for damaging tanks... that and the burning hatred for tanks

I think all this will do is encourage the people that have good AV fits (proto forges) to run them a bit more rather than just going all infantry fits. I doubt we'll see much of an increase in AV because it still is terrible and people aren't going to want to risk expensive AV fits and loose tons of them just to gain some WP they could've gained from hacking an objective or killing a couple people.

Yeah, I do have forge prof 4 but meh. Without my damage mods and prof bonus to shields tanks will just be able to continue wreaking havok.
Sure if I got in an organized squad with 2 other forges we would be able to takemout tanks easily but then I'd spend all match doing that instead of actually trying out my new suits.
Well wait, let's hope that my minmatar sentinel is awesome.

Dnt forget that wit 1.8 there is now a WP reward for damaging vehicles. So now everyone who shoots a tank gets points not jus killer and an assist.
Might make some more likely to use AV.

But seriously. I played four matches yesterday. In all of them my poor missile tank was rolling around the map hopelessly looking for a red tank to nuke.
I managed to fluke 24 infantry kills in one though!! I love people who stand next to walls xD
Real men do it with missiles.

my Vehicle character has 22mil in vehicles and a 702k Isk tank does that make me a scub? |

When one force meets another in New Eden they clash and eventually one is forced to back down.....a tank will maraude the field unopposed until someone mounts a force to counter it.....eventually one or the other will back down or be annihilated.
I had that happen 1 game where this guy kept calling in his duel hardner 1dmg fit gunnlogi and he almost got me first time around but I was able to out smart him and finish him off then for the rest of the match me and my gunners snuck up behind him enough times that he lost like what 5 particle cannons and 2 ion cannons and we actually had him quit the game..............never lost a tank I feel bad for him |

thats what I do most games I don't intentionally target infantry until my enemy gives up on calling in tanks or any other vehicles for that matter |
