Once I found out that you could leave this game, come back a month later and have enough sp to skill into a proto weapon with prof, or practically a complex module...WITHOUT EVEN PLAYING. Other games you have to actually grind for hours just to get anything. This game I can play every few days for an hour or three and still get a new item to run with every week. You may consume souls over there but New Eden owns your sould over here ;) I've seen a couple of reviews saying that the mechanics are not as reliable in DS2 as DS - what do you think? I'm interested because of the high-penalty/unreliable mechanics dynamic, which we also face here in DUST 514. I support SP rollover.

It's not so much that the mechanics are less reliable as it is that they've changed a lot of the mechanics to be more difficult. For instance dodging. In Demon's Souls and Dark Souls when you rolled to dodge an attack you had a fairly large number of "I-frames" (invincibility frames-screen frames in which you were invincible while rolling). Now the number of I-Frames has been cut down to the point that you have to be pinpoint accurate in order to avoid damage. Also fat rolling now seems to give you more I-Frames than fast rolling when in PvP (which may likely be a bug or perhaps a latency issue they haven't worked out with the new dedicated servers) but not when fighting PvE. Didn't happen. Was back the next day. Last week I got NCAA 14 (Football). I still play at least 1 complete game of Dust a day, which really means I'm on Dust for about an Hour a day trying to play in at least 1 full game, end to end, without getting put in an ending game, a Fatal Error game, a lagging game, etc. etc. etc. when Gran Turismo 6.5 or 7 comes out I'm getting the PS4, but will prob still play a broken a$$ game called DUST 514. "War is money...if you have it, you win."

Planetside 2 on ps4 will soon fill the gap for me while I wait for improvements. In the meantime ds2 will suffice. Unfortunately I've not had enough interest in Dust to even cap out for the last month. I made it in time for the events though. so that helps I suppose. MAG ~ Raven
