I have Dark Souls 2 now.... But for some reason.... I just can't help but playing at least 1 or two matches of Dust every day...
Also, since getting Dark Souls 2, I can't stop singing "50 bucks" every time I fire Dust up. Weird huh?

I've seen a couple of reviews saying that the mechanics are not as reliable in DS2 as DS - what do you think?
I'm interested because of the high-penalty/unreliable mechanics dynamic, which we also face here in DUST 514.
It's not so much that the mechanics are less reliable as it is that they've changed a lot of the mechanics to be more difficult. For instance dodging. In Demon's Souls and Dark Souls when you rolled to dodge an attack you had a fairly large number of "I-frames" (invincibility frames-screen frames in which you were invincible while rolling). Now the number of I-Frames has been cut down to the point that you have to be pinpoint accurate in order to avoid damage. Also fat rolling now seems to give you more I-Frames than fast rolling when in PvP (which may likely be a bug or perhaps a latency issue they haven't worked out with the new dedicated servers) but not when fighting PvE.

regardless darksouls is a very temporary fix it won't last for long.
I've already platinumed Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, so I feel obligated to do the same with Dark Souls 2. But I'm not going to play it non-stop even if I don't feel like it just to platinum it. If I do I'll get burned out, and I don't want that as I am liking Dark Souls 2 better than either of it's predecessors.

50 bucks says you'll let me in."GÖ½ I am the same way, not because I dont want to play DKS II...but I have this issue with skilling up in DKS II..... I am too overly focused on efficiency and have made about 3 character that have reached the Lost Bastille before deleting them to start again.
You know you can rescep your points.... right? ust need to find a Soul Vessel. There's like 4 throughout the game.

regardless darksouls is a very temporary fix it won't last for long.
Planetside 2 on ps4 will soon fill the gap for me while I wait for improvements. In the meantime ds2 will suffice. Unfortunately I've not had enough interest in Dust to even cap out for the last month. I made it in time for the events though. so that helps I suppose.

Isn't that how soul memory works?
