If your going to give the Caldari Assault a reload bonus then this glitch should not be viable otherwise the bonus is pointless !!
Yes it's on other FPS games, I know that, as I said I always reload cancel ... but if your going to give a suit a reload bonus then you cannot have glitches that allow you to reload cancel because the bonus becomes obsolete
If your going to force this ****** bonus onto cal assaults then CCP can make this bonus worthwhile by removing reload cancelling glitches |

I'd prefer a decent bonus to the Calassault, personally.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

No...... why should someone be forced to reload instead of switching their weapon.

Has anyone done extensive testing to see when the critical point of the cancel is (where it continues on with the gun reloading after cancellation)?

uhm...just change Cal Assault bonus? If you do not allow people to cancel reloading, reloading itself becomes a bigger drawback. It would be like overheating a Scrambler rifle-

lolwut? If you sprint the gun doesn't universally reload minus the animation.
So.... if I start reloading and then decide "oh crap, I'm about to get killed, I'm booking out of here", I can't? I should sit there and die while I haplessly continue to reload my gun like it's some OCD thing I can't stop myself from doing?
Do we lose the ability to change our minds in the future?

I know that I can sprint with a scrambler rifle right after the clip is put in, and it Will instacomplete the reload

On the HMG it reloads full just as the animation where you check the bullet chain as it enters the gun. Sprint right there, you can fire again with full ammo without finishing the animation.
Haven't done any extensive testing on the other weapons reload times as they are fairly short anyway, especially with the rapid reload skill up, but it seems that its about a half second after the animation ends of physically putting the new magazine into the weapon, before the mercs hands reset the firing bolt.
I am here to ask you one question, and one question only: EXPLOSIONS?

Not within a defined time frame, too busy getting shot, but on most weapons I have used the sprint cancel works towards the very end of the reload cycle, before you chamber another round, the timing does differ from gun to gun (seemly), but that would require more testing . Also this thread is pointless, you can have both as the faster you reload the sooner you can sprint cancel which allows you to reload even faster than anyone else. |

I'd rather have a better bonus and stick to reload cancelling ... when you add into the equation the fact that cal assaults have a sidearm it really is an awful bonus ... especially as there is already a reload skill for all Caldari weaponry
FYI switching to a sidearm is instantaneous . the only class that would benefit from a reload bonus is logi's who only have 1 weapon |

Once the clip is in, you can sprint cancel.

If you run proto gear, prepare to suffer the consequences. You've been warned.

I know but there are other weapons where I know if you canceled after mag is popped in you still start over; like I said extensive testing would be nice as to when to cancel. But the mag popped in and gun primed is a reasonable point of canceling the reload.
