I was looking at the stats for the Minmatar Sentinel and Commando suits and they have so little PG compared to the other races, but Some much CPU. Why is that? Are they being optimized for modules that require little PG but lots of CPU? I alwsys run out of pg before I run out of cpu. Please explain |

I can't come up with any combination that you can't fit a heavy suit full proto.
My alt has L2 Eng and Elec and all mods/weapons are proto.
My min heavy (using a fitting tool) has 71 CPU and 12 PG left over with max fitting skills

I was under the impression that Minamatar suits ran shields and dmg mods and are usually forced to put a CPU mod on the slot slots.

Minmatar weapons are low in PG to begin with, so that is a reason (Same reason why Amarr have so much PG. Those scramblers are expensive)
But in all reality, fitting a Min Assault is hell. We have to little CPU to fit shield mods, and not enough lows to justify the CPU mod.
Please for the love of God CCP. Make the Cal Assault a 5/2, and the Min Assault a 4/3

Hard mode just got harder.
BTW, nothing in this game is harder to run than the Minmatar Scout pre 1.8

Chunky Munkey wrote:It's Minmatar. The challenge isn't to be competitive, it's to be functional. Though in EVE I believe Minmatar ships generally fall as having the second highest PG, with Amarr ships having the most PG.
This is reflected through the fact that energy turrets use up the most PG and projectiles came in second (at least the artillery had some large PG requirements). This does mean that the Amarr can fit a full rack of any racial turret, though the other races can't fit a full rack of energy turrets. The reason you don't see Amarr ships fitted with less PG intensive turrets is because hulls are bonused for the racial weapon and fitting your ship with a different turret type negates the purpose of having that ship in the first place. Though there are fleet doctrine ships that mix and match ships and racial turrets to get better fleet performance, I believe.
I think Dust should be similar where each suit gets a bonus to its racial weapon. This way, people don't just fit combat rifles and flaylocks because they are least resource intensive. You might get extra fitting on an Amarr suit, but the Minmatar suit will get better performance with those weapons, so you might as well just stick with the more resource intensive weapons your suit was designed for and bonused for.

Minmatar weaponry synergizes nicely with it, since they don't cost nearly as much PG as any other rifle.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

If by requiring a bunch of STD and ADV mods/weapons you mean synergy then yeah I guess you are right.

I've been saying this forever, the adv scout min suit needs 2 Additional PG. Its impossible to outfit a adv min scout with anything but a str cloak when using NK. I can build one but it would lack grenades, a second equipment slot, a decent secondary/primary and would have to sacrifice much. Ore than other scouts would at adv level. The fact that a kin cat + std cloak + NK takes the majority of the SP is ridiculous. |

Yes its a shame that NK, which the scout is suppose to use (to use it racial bonus) is a Cal weapon, and lacks a PG reduction skill on top of that. Shall we add that hit detection seems off, and we have a real winner for an advice scout suit. Given lack of PG it is extremely difficult not to use a CR (primary) or an adv tier secondary weapon... So again, CCP had forced you to use another weapon with the build. Want to run RE, nearly impossible for adv min scout, while their counter parts can all run an effective lv3 adv suit. They simply need a very tiny boost to PG at advanced level, the Proto is fine.
When all NK are released, hopefully they will be different from each other and also provide a PG reduction skill. |

Especially compared to all of the other high slot modules. The ratio of PG/CPU is way off compared to armor plates which have really low CPU costs and moderate-high CPU costs. Shield extenders need to have a large PG fitting cost reduction.

Minmatar NK better be low PG, and have lower damage with an insane slash speed.

You also have to remember that Minmatar are also the 'myofibril' race and so if fitted don't require as much systems as a shield or damage mod. In 1.8 I believe they're essentially giving us more options for shields on the new suits, so we can fit repers over plates and rechargers over extenders - Not a tank suit but making it more of a hit and run suit that recovers faster, in true minmatar style

I dont see a Minmatar heavy as a hit and run suit. It has a little more speed and stamina as the other duits but not enought to be considered "hit and run" imho |
